I don't consider myself to be a Democrat- there isn't a single party that I identify with enough to wholeheartedly support their platform. Having said that, your question is ridiculous for the following reasons:

-You insinuate that gay marriage is unimportant, without bothering to provide a supporting argument.
-You then insinuate that Democrats "believe that gay marriage is more important than fighting terrorism". Not surprisingly you make no attempt to defend this assertion and I don't blame you, it's just plain stupid.
-You use the nebulous Neocon talking point, "islamofascists", which I defy you to define.
-Republicans are the party that consistently attempts to make an issue of what people are doing in the bedroom and with whom- not Democrats. Did the world have any legitimate right or need to know whether or not Clinton had extramarital sex? No. But your sanctimonious, holier-than-thou party saw it very differently.
-If you were interested in a healthy exchange of ideas and a debate based on respect and tolerance- and that's clearly not the case- the entirety of your message would have been phrased very differently for the above reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if this message gets deleted, but someone had to call you on your own BS.

It's called multitasking for one. No, gay marriage is not more important than keeping ourselves safe, however, this war is NOT keeping us safe. We're pissing off the rest of the world, we're pouring gas on the fire of Anti-American sentiment if you will, the world, our would-be allies are laughing at our sheepish decent into Iraq. Iraq is NOT making us safer from terrorism, Afghanistan was, Afghanistan was where Osama Bin Laden was, the Taliban was a threat. Saddam Hussein - while he was a brutal dictator was not a threat to the United States. As far as bedroom issues, it seems the Republicans are always the one's prying into the bedroom's of gays (and well, everyone for that matter) - Short of the Biblical religious fascism extreme neo-Conservatives want to push down our throats, there is NO reason to deny gays marriage (or a suitable alternative, with ALL of the same rights and benefits).
Seriously, It's 2007, why are there still Americans fighting for Civil Rights in AMERICA? Let's worry about our people here (PROTIP: Health Care, Fixing our legal system, Crime prevention, Equal rights for all, Education advancements, etc) before we're going off "liberating" other countries.

7 out of the 8 Democratic presidential candidates think the federal government should not legalize gay marriage. Seriously.

because dems live in the areas most likely to be hit by terrorists. You have it right! The cons in the fly over states that terrorists never heard of are much more concerned about terrorism than say..new yorkers

Because our intellect gives us the ability to think about more than one thing at a time. But I would argue that it is YOU republicans who are too interested in what happens in the bedroom because you are fighting to keep gay marriage illegal.

Its not all democrats that think that way.. Dennis K. has clearly stated where he stands on the war, which is bring our troops home, increase homeland securtiy.... It's funny gay marrige is an issue now.. considering neither Hillary or Barack are clearly supporting them.... and those are the main front runners from the party..

on the flip side... why is it so important to try and stop gay marriage? Do you really care what two gay people do, ( which they will do married or not anyway). its like we are living in the stone age... lets focus more on resolving the current "important" issues facing America, like the war in Iraq, or rising health care cost, or the fact that i have to take out a huge loan in order to go to college. and by the way don't try to pull this calling me a liberal crap... because i am in now way shape or form tied to a political party...of any kind, i think for myself

Dems don't think this, do you have any facts to back up this claim? Probably not.

Many Dems think fighting terrorism is not the only thing our country needs to be doing, we need to think about healthcare, education, etc.

they don't. Dems realize that there can be more issues to think about and discuss- at the same time too! Imagine that...

Republicans, on the other hand are one-tracked- "war war war! Money money money! Guns guns guns! Let's flood the whole Middle East with guns- who cares if they're still an ally or not? They'll love us later because we gave them these beautiful guns. And the poor people are the ones that are paying for it because- by golly- we must have our tax cuts! Yup yup..."

Who ever said that? It is not more important of an issue it is just a different issue. What a weak argument...I mean where is your evidence of this?
