If everybody around the world made a joint decision and united together and did not go to work. Do you think world leaders would then have to take its populations requests seriously. i.e Fix world hunger, stop pointless wars, give you an education not based on your financial status, provide houseing for the homeless, put more financial resources into medicine etc

If the whole world could just spontaneously unite like that, 'leaders' would be superfluous.

That would be great, but unfortunately in general people are fundamentally lazy and will not cooperate. That particular movement would, and could work only with the complete devotion of it's followers. Most people will think that it is a good idea, but that is far as they will go with it. Too bad that it is not the sixties anymore.
As far as the government...
...the saying, "We the people..." is just a blast from the past because the "We" turned into "They" , and we have hardly any more control.

To many Liberals think that it is the governments job and obligation to fix those problems. What you need to understand is that government is incapable of doing that. That is not its job. That is our job as individuals.
I came from a family of field workers. My Mother put her self through school by working in the fields along side so many others trying to make a better life for her self and her kids. She raised us to know the value of hard work and school. My Father put himself through school doing manual labor he became a pilot.
What needs to happen is the homeless need to figure out that they are only there because of their own choices they made. I agree that there are some situations where people need a little help but if they are given that help and don't use it to improve their situation then shame on them and shame on us for letting them degrade themselves that way.
To many bleeding hearts out there want to blame those who have worked hard and achieved more because they did it on their own.

Better hope you don't have an emergency and need immediate medical care that day. I remember on Christmas Day when everything was closed except hospitals etc... Now everything stays open just about.

Do you really think politicians would show up for work when there would be no-one there to fill their coffee cups in the morning?

First, you need to understand how the government funds itself. Then you'll see the fallacy of what you ask. It's not as simple as you think.

I thought that was ALREADY happening. I see more bums on the street than ever before. Learn the term "personal responsibility"!

Well since it would cause complete anarchy I don't think any of the problems you mentioned would get fixed & they'd probably get a whole lot worse.
