The Democrats tried to do to our troops in Iraq what they did to the ones in Viet Nam- spit in their faces! We need to punish the DEMS for their non-support of our troops in Iraq. Toss them out of office in 2008!

Why should the rest of us have to carry the financial burden of this fiasco?

Paul Wolfowitz actually claimed that the war would pay for itself with oil revenue.

If you count the Bush 1 VP, it will have been 28 years at the end of Bush 2’s term. If you don’t it’ll be 20 YEARS!!! And now people want to vote in Hillary Clinton!? It might be 24, 28, 32 or 36 years of Bush/Clinton.

IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE. Am I wrong?

This was actually proposed by Alberto Gonzalez.

Of course, since the 'evidence' that makes the government suspect someone is vital to national security, you will never get a trial or way to appeal the decision.

Sooooo my fellow "conservatives," do you think the government should have arbitrary power to deny the 2nd amendment without offering a shred of proof or incrimination?

Is it really our duty to export our political system to regions of the world where it collides with religious dogma? Can it really be sustained organically? Call me nuts but I don't see how Islam and Democracy can stroll along together. Both are forms of political rule. It's precisley why the consitution stipulates the federal government to remain hands off when it comes to religion. We'd been down that road in the past with monarchial regimes in Europe and their duality of rule. Are we kidding ourselves that after centuries of Islam it will be displaced by voter's rights?

Isn't "Experience" just a long list of debts that need to be paid once the new president reaches office? It’s not like anyone has experience being the PotUS.

Just in general I wouldnt be to worried about it, but i have these friends who are mormon and they seem totally awesome. They are some fo the few who have their priorities in line and their heads on straight. If Mitt has the same traits as the other mormons ive known id think he'd be awesome for the job. What are your opinions???

Do you come here to bash the other side, to get some insight on how the political system works, or to get a good laugh at how stupid people really are (both the right and the left)?

Okay, I would rather the radicals not answer this question but that is dreaming. To all Liberals and Conservatives. Honestly please. Do you REALLY agree with EVERY view on your side and DISAGREE with EVERY view on the other side? Or is it just the major points? I can agree with some views from both sides. Am I in the minority like it seems?

the democrats used to be much more centered. socialism was never an issue, except for FDR. europe is now looking for free market solutions to their problems. last year in sweden, the socialist party lost elections for the first time in over 20 years. there were people celebrating on the streets. sarkozy was elected president, perhaps ONLY because his opponent could never explain where she would get the money to do what she wanted. i guess she didn't want to admit that she'd create a quasi-communist state with immense tax increases. in eastern europe you have low taxes comparable to the US, and privatization of health-care institutions because the gov cant pay for them.
why is america being led by people who are more left-of-center than in europe?

Our socialists, aka democrats, support anything that favors or rewards Castro, including the only illegal immigrant that they wanted to deport- Elian Gonzalez. Most libs have trouble with the dictatorship issue but still support Castro with the dream of bringing a new "warm & fuzzy" socialism to the US, with no concept that the warm & fuzzy intentions will end up in a Castro or Stalin type reality.

Its the darndest thing. Whenever I hear his case discussed, people throw out the guilty thing like its universally understood to be true, but in fact, he was found innocent of the crime.

And also, how can you be found innocent in a court of law, but found guilty in a civil court..essentially contradicting the criminal case results.

I mean isnt that like being tried twice or something?

Basicly, someone gets offended by say, I don't know... saying "Merry Christmas", AT CHRISTMAS TIME. The 'politacly correct' thing to do , would be to take all the merry christmas sign and stop saying merry Christmas... AT CHRISTMAS TIME! It's absolutly idiotic! It lacks TOTAL and COMPLETE common sence! And frankly I'll take common sence any day! So back to my original question...
