Its a hard pick between Giuliani and Hillary. But at least Hilldog doesn't have quite the taste for blood that Giuliani has. Guiliani scares me the most. During the last debate he suggested that our troops need to learn nation building skills. That concept scares the bejesus out of me.

This is a trend that has been fairly constant since the Reagan tax cuts and has been only enhanced by subsequent tax cuts. The middle class is smaller but of the households moving out, the ratio of those moving up to those moving down is 92/8.

I dont "want the legal definition of marriage" to be formed by a bunch of politicians,of all things.

And the cowards who deny they snicker at legislative gay baiting. As if my government and my tax dollars are an arena
for bigotry and conservative discrimination.NO.

I do not want christian monotheism to have precedent over my laws with my tax dollars.

The government has prooven inept at intervention. Their best bet is to stay the hell out of our marriages ands our bedrooms.

There was a question earlier about what breakthroughs have come from Stem Cell Research.
It got the usual Religious Right" bashing.
One guy CK4829 posted a link. "Woman walks after 20 years paralyzed, due to Stem Cell Treatment".
So I went to the link http://www.redorbit.com/news/display/?id.

Surprised to find it was thru the use of UMBILICAL CORD Stem Cells!!!!! NO FETUS USED.
They go on to say most if not all treatments have come from adult stem cells, or Umbilical Cord.

So why do we need to use Fetus, when the other options work better?????

in academic institutions and research? I have worked in 2 biomedical labs. The first was in a public university in the south. The second was a cancer hospital in the north. Both of these places are so infiltrated with liberals that I can hardly stand it anymore. I feel SO out of place but I love research.

Oddly, though a science field, politics often come up in which case everyone jumps on me for being conservative. I understand about getting funding and grants through the federal govt.... but there is more to politics than that!

Why are there so many liberals in academic institutions and research?

Salman Rushdie wrote a book called the ''Satanic Versuses" which many Muslims feel, portrays Islam in a negative light. Recently, Rushdie was knighted by the queen, this has really pissed off Islamic follwers, they are protesting and have again put called for his death and bounty has been placed on Rushdie's head.

Why do the alleged follwers of peace want to kill anybody with a different opinion?

You're going to be hearing about a new study that's due to come out later this week. The study is from some liberal think tank called the Center for American Progress. The report is going to cite a "massive imbalance" between conservative and "progressive" (that would be liberal) talk radio. As you might have guessed, this report will contain some proposals for solutions ... and I'm guessing we're in for another push for the resurrection of the idiotically-named "Fairness Doctrine."
