I was relieved, the tax would have raised the price of a pack by over 50% bringing the tax alone to about $3.50. that's just the tax, the pack of smokes itself is a few more dollars ... for a total cost of about $7 per pack ... and almost none of the revenue was going to programs related to smoking, the biggest percent was going to the hospital corporations who wrote the bill to benefit themselves.

It made them lose complete power. They were infested with scandals and crimes and the voters kicked them out.

My question is should america forgive the corrupt Republican party after all the harm they have caused America?

Should We Democrats as the majority Begin impeachment procedings against bush and his henchmen?

Can Republicans ever change?

Should investigations be conducted to uncover more scandals?

Should Democrats inmply laws that will protect rove V wade?

Should Dmeocrats pass laws to invest billions in federal spending on stem cell research ?

and last and most important bring our brave troops home

bars have to get rid of the smokers or the food service and they wanted the smokers. soooo will you buy the layed off workers a pack of smokes to ease thier pain if you voted on a smoking ban based on the junk science about second hand smoke?

Clearly the U.S. is in a struggle now, and so we need our strength. The question is if things like the first and fourth ammendments (as well as the others) are liabilites we can only afford when things are going well, or if they are strengths that can help us even when things are difficult?
