The media is the main enemy we are facing in the fight against terrorism. If the media had this much access during WWII, I guarantee Hitler wouldn't have been stopped. War is ugly and is best dealt with by the people that are trained to do so.

Of all the failings the clicking does that offends me, no longer exhibiting Saddam's putting wasn't one among them. An execution, even of a POS like Saddam, could be marked with dignity and voyeurism isn't dignified. exhibiting our troops approximately to be killed is without ethical experience. Odds are, that Soldier's kinfolk observed that video. as properly, it replaced into surpassed to them by potential of an Iraqi who replaced into area of the sniper group. it is like asserting they're depended on buddies or something. THAT i certainly hated.

Are you asking this now because Stoney Creek Hospitality Corp which manages hotels in IL, IA, MO, and WI, pulled CNN from their guest rooms because of this showing? James Thompson, Pres of the Des Moines, IA-based company determined that because he was upset with the footage, nobody staying at the hotel should watch CNN either. He censors, and I say boycott Stoney Creek.

P.S. Born in America - don't talk down to us, part of the reason our military goes to war is to fight for the "freedom of the press."

Sounds about right. Did you know that CNN stands for Communist News Network? They're right up there with the Treason Times (NY Times) on the "We hate America SOOOO BAD!!!" list. That's why both do everything in their power to undermine our attempts at rooting out terrorists and demoralize our troops. I'm sure those soldiers familes are really happy with your "freedom of the press" right now. CNN and the NY Times should be the next target of terrorists attacks. Though everyone knows Osama wouldn't bomb those who are telling him our State Secrets.....

Its called anything for ratings. The more gore in a story on tv news the higher the ratings. The only other thing they like as well is sex scandals involving well known people. Any story with blood, sex, or both is worth going after. You never hear any news outlet talking about the good things that are happening in the world. Good news don't sell papers or raise the tv ratings.

Osama loved it, anything that will turn public opinion against doing what is necessary to keep the Islamic Extremists at bay.
By electing the Dems, we have given the Terrorists time to re-arm & reorganize. Whatever progress we have made will soon be lost. By giving the terrorists the time they need, we will turn what may have been a winable conflict into a losing proposition.
Armageddon here we come.
What a shame for our children & grandchildren.

First of all. . ... . .. .It's difficult even reading the words of your question. Difficult hell, it makes me physically sick to know that somebody at CNN would be so self-interested, selfish, cold-hearted, and cruel, that he or she would even consider showing that. And if Fox does that, I'll leave them and watch a liberal channel that I don't even like.

Secondly ... . .. . . What's the best way to punish CNN for their ' Gross Negligence of Humanity ? My only guess is to stop watching. . . .. . but I already did that when I found out they were not telling the whole story.... . ..Shameful ? Yes !! But my previous point is utterly disgusting !!!!

I have very mixed feelings about it. I don't buy in the whole Michael Savage "CNN are traitors" argument. The footage depicts the reality of the situation our people are in and I think we owe it to them to try and understand that reality as much as possible. I also feel sympathy for the families of the killed service men and women, especially the one in the video.

That's the nature of war, and why should I as an American citizen just see pictures of talking generals or troops on patrol?

Isn't this part of the same thinking that banned dead American service personnel in flag draped coffins from being pictured so that the American people can't see the casualties?

Freedom of the press and the free flow of information is what keeps our democracy alive. Any attempt to hide the unpleasent only aids the enemy by eroding the values of our society.
