Reports concerning developments in North Korea's nuclear program are routinely absent the "memory-holed" fact that it was Donald Rumsfeld , former non-executive director of ABB, that signed off on a $200 million dollar contract to sell nuclear reactors to the Stalinist state in November 2000.

Will the myopic hubris of the Bushists make them blind to the incompatability of selling a war on a nation years away from nukes while another openly proliferates?

Really?! You've become so morally corrupt as to stoop to comparing the two? And you wonder why most of the country is moving away from your poisonous way of thinking.

The perceived wisdom here has been to criticize and admonish the UN. Today, everyone has turned to the UN to find a way of sanctioning N Korea.

I suspect, hidden in Bush's frustration is a tinge of hypocrisy and anger that he has to turn to the UN because he is imptent to do a damn thing about the sick SOB in N Korea.

He took his eye off the ball and attacked Iraq. He committed our troops in a futile war so that he can keep his promise to the Military Industrial Complex led by Halliburton. Guess who the losers are once again, US the people of the world.

It's a little too late in the political season to try these tactics anyway.

So what are you going to do now, this late in the game?

Be a real man for once and admitt you and your parties mistakes and blunders? Try to make adments by vowing to not let these kind of blunders happen again? Try to let the public know what you've accomplished in office without twisting the facts?

Na, you'll just resort back to your dirty tricks.

This is a tremendous loss. Few journalists have provided honest reporting about the situation in Chechnya and Anna Politkovskaya was one of very few to do so... I suspect that this was a targeted assasination, perhaps by Putin's henchmen or possibly from the other side. Either way this is sad.

I doubt many people on this website would know about her, of course the US press coverage is nil. But have fun writing foolish stuff if you like, I think it is funny.

that a goverment elected by the people for the people allows it's money to be issued and controlled by private interests. And also why is it that every country in the world is in debt. and to whom do they owe they money. Perhaps this is a question we should all be asking. As our way of life erodes with every penny that is owed.
