I would agree to a identification checks and card .
I have not broken the law and I'm not afraid for anyone to know who I am , if need be . Actually the things that were given up during WWII were OK . We have not gone far enough to protect this country , like closing the borders and checking what comes into the US .
Why not sell US Savings Bonds , to help pay for the war on Terrorism .
Also I think we should bring back the Draft , since we will be fighting this war for years .
Even though I have sons and grandsons in the military , I think everyone should have a chance to fight for their country , not just lip service and it will make good citzens of our young people and keep them out of trouble and off the streets

Nothing can be sacrificed in order to end terrorism .We will always have a small percentage of people who can not conform to the norms of any society and attack its ways .
So we can not end terrorism .
How can we reduce the number of people who wish to do us harm ?
This can be done by learning about the people and culture you are entering into to conduct business .
DO they have traditions that are offensive to your way of life like keeping women covered and as second class people .
Do they have strict criminal penalty's such as death and be headings and such .
If so i would tend to say we do not conduct business with these people .
Just because someone wants something from someone else does not mean we begin negotiations with them if there values and way of life is so different from our own .
Providing an Arab sheik with guns to defend the lands they are pumping oil from when the land belonged to everyone till you offered them money for what was under it caused today's problems .
We did not pay all the people who traveled this land only the nomadic rulers who had been terrorizing the people for centuries .They built army's and took from the travelers who they encountered and these are the same tribes that rule the people .
The people owned the land and not the ones with the guns .
'We gave them more guns and the ability to defend the fields and keep all the money .
Had the money been given to all the people equally we may not have had this problem in the first place .

I would be willing to pay even higher gas prices or accept gas rationing, provided:
1) The government ended importation of oil.
2) Environmental groups accepted fewer restrictions on domestic oil production.

I would sacrifice arrogance and faulty pride. I would look to the underlying causes of terrorism. To the injustice and torture and murders that cause the intense hatred that fuels terrorism and look at addressing those issues.

OK, hypothetically speaking, I would give up almost any of my rights (temporarily) to completely defeat terrorism.
If by giving up a period of "rights" for MySelf would save thousands of lives, I would do it in a heartbeat.
