This is a direct quote from the AP wire service;

"CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida in Iraq warned Pope Benedict XVI on Monday that its war against Christianity and the West will go on until Islam takes over the world, and Iran's supreme leader called for more protests over the pontiff's remarks on Islam."

Al-Qaida in Iraq? I thought everyone was saying the war on Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and Al-Qaida?

The war will go on until ISLAM TAKES OVER THE WORLD! What do you want to negotiate with now? Do you really think if we just bring all our troops home it will stop? They want to destroy Western and European civilzation. What do you think we should do? I am starting to believe that all out war is the only option we have. They are going to leave us no choice.

Is the Pope right to use quotations that question the goals and methods of Islam, given the vast majority of terrorism is conducted by Muslims (Iraq, Afghanistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Israel, Sudan, Kenya, Morocco, Jordan, Malaysia, Spain, Britain, USA, Egypt, and so on)? Or is it simply coincidence that terrorism centres on Islamic states and Muslims? Is the line between moderate and extremist becoming finer or acts of terrorism too frequent to differentiate between the two, and what does this mean for Islamic communities residing in liberal multiethnic communities?

With the Republicans an utter failure and Democrats too tied to their own special interests, doesn't America need a truly pragmatic party.

Who could break away from the current parties to form this new entity? I see people such as McCain, Clinton, Powell, Richard Lugar, maybe Lieberman, etc. as possibilities.

As you heard, Bush and Austrailia and Japan is pressing sactions on North Korea. Bush said the talk is failed.

Can you predict the outcomes of the sanctions?

Do you believe N. Korea will abanden its program, or will they be more aggressive? Or will they not take any action to buy some time?

If none of the above, what else can you think of?

....I can say that I'm a liberal on this site, and a thousand people will blast me every which way but loose, thinking that they have even the tiniest idea of what I am like or what I am about....But people in other countries can say they are socialists, and no one even bats an eye....Why are we so touchy? So paranoid? So evil? So hateful?.......

You have to make over 750k to benefit from the tax cuts that Bush has implemented during his presidency. The avg american doesn't make that much money and yet we get morons voting for him. LOL What is wrong with america?? Do they enjoy paying more for gas? Do they enjoy being seen as an evil country all around the world? Other countries can see it? In England EVERYONE hates Bush. At least that what my Republican friend told me. Who btw, is now a Democrat after living in England for one year. Bush has trashed the environment, tapped our phones, helped to push the Patriot Act through when no one was looking, Katrina mess etc., etc. Yet, he STILL has supporters who make under 750K?

We have had a reputation of fighting for "human rights" around the world, and denying countries status w/ US because of human rights violations. But now it is OK to torture people?? And I have heard the argument that we have to have some democracies/friends in the Middle East because the lack of them could lead to boycotts of oil to the US. (Oh! And we couldn't have that now, could we?) What have we been doing to Cuba for decades??
We have "pigged up" the resources of this country, kept half of the world in hunger that our wheat could have fed, and now demand (with the "punishment" being a war on your soil) that other countries make their (Yes, their) oil available to us!!!! If a child acted like this on the playground, we would discipline him. When the US acts like this we expect adoration????

I don't remember Iraq ever threatening the "freedom" of US citizens. Of course, NOW our freedoms are threatened by the heavy handed, illegal actions of the Homeland Security police...but that's a horse of an even brighter color, isn't it?
And, please, dear lord, answer this: How can we fight terror? Terror is an emotion, a feeling!!! If one means "fight against terrorism", then one should say so!!

If you are a Liberal, do you listen to Sean Hannity and think "Wow, this guy is straight forward and his opinions make sense." When you hear him mention a FACT do you set your "Liberal Standards" aside and hear him out and ponder it, or do you blow it off and hope that he is incorrect.

Serious question, not looking for Liberal/Conservative debate or slamming, just a fulfilling a curiosity of mine.

Just yesterday i read excerpts of a book written by a person who was a prisoner there for 3 years and 10 months. It was horrible to read that how violent can one become. I must say that international community should act upon this unlawful vicinity as soon as possible

Excerpt of the books are found on the following URL. (In URDU)

Clinton lied - In answer to questions he never should have been asked. About something he did in private that was not illegal. There is no proof of any other allegations.

Bush lied (I'm tired of cutting and pasting links to the VOLUMES of proof of it, google it yourself concrooks. IT IS A FACT) about things that resulted in our troops dying, billions wasted in a pointless "war", torture of innocent civilians who were held without due process, and so many other things it makes my stomach churn. Oh - and he broke his oath.

The sheer magnitude of the differences in Clintons "crime" vs Bush's absolute flat out f*cking us up the @ss is unbelievable. Yet you still defend the crook. He IS going to be impeached or prosecuted for his crimes. Bet on it.
