Congress was simply usurped by the Nehru family. The name Gandhi belongs to Gandhi family but Nehru family benefitted the most by taking over someone's family name also. Let me leave it here.

congress ruled india for more than 40 years with gandhi's as the PM. congress and the word "gandhi" have an old unbreakable relationship. may be the gandhi's are not the best PM but there's no better head for congress than them.

It just shows their political immaturity and lack of confidence! Party culture promotes suckers to come up who lack confidence and talent. Thats the reason India has been overperformed by China!
