Liberals and non-partisan citizens express outrage at the Bush administration lying, starting unnecessary wars, abrogating civil rights, breaking treaties and acting like a rogue state. Conservatives, especially Republicans, then accuse them of hating America.

It seems to me that defending the principles America was founded on from those who have gained high office in the country is a better expression of love for the country than blind obedience.

In the divisive world of American politics everyone seems to be pegged as either conservative or liberal.
As a European (Irish to be precise) I'd dearly love to hear an American's view on my political beliefs.

I am an atheist, in fact I despise religious beliefs or any other kind of superstition or spirituality. I am pro choice - even pro abortion in some cases. I am very supportive of gun control. I think American foreign policy leaves a lot to be desired. I think homosexuals should be allowed to marry.
However,
I also think capitalism one of mankinds greatest creations. I believe fervently in globalization and that it lifts the lives of many out of poverty. I think socialism is flawed and outdated. I don't favour high minimum wage. I dislike high taxes and protectionist trade policies. I favour tough sentencing for both blue-collar and white-collar crime. I despise labour unions.

How would I fit in in an American society where I must be either liberal or conservative?

but

Secretary of State Colin Powell was on the corporate board of America Online, now merged with Time-Warner, which owns CNN. A member of AOL/Time-Warner's board of directors, Carla Hills, also sits on the board of directors of Chevron. She was the first President Bush's trade representative. On the board of directors of Exxon-Mobil sits J. Richard Munro, former chairman and CEO of Time-Warner. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was on the board of the Tribune Company, owner of the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, Newsday, and many other newspapers as well as TV stations.

1% demand in oil cause 30% profit for Exxon = $$$ for CNN

seems to me, everyone here is an 'expert' on the subject. Let me clear something up. Abortions are not used. Abortions could not be used, as the blastocyte is about 4-5 days old. A woman has to be at least 5 weeks pregnant to get an abortion. Embryonic stem cells have regenerative properties unique to them, no adult stem cells have the same properties. Specifically, brain cells, and spinal cells, hence the permanancy of paralysis and brain damage. A study was conducted in 1996 where embryonic stem cells were attached to the severed spines of mice, they regenerated, bridging the gap, restoring function to the legs of the mice. That same year, the right to life movement fought to ban all stem cell research, so the data we have available starts in 1998, after the ban was lifted. From 1981 when research began, to 1998 when it was re'allowed, no data was recorded, effectively wiping out the available research.

Bush has arguably been the best and most supportive president for Israel in American history. So why do Jews in America not see this?
