Israel will make some major inroad into Hezbollah and then withdrawal under the cover of a UN peace plan.

It would be extremely well-received by all parties (except, maybe, by Hezbollah) for Israel to announce plans to help rebuild Lebanon and/or provide some of the social services (hospitals, schools) Hezbollah has been providing.

Unfortunately, the REAL endgame -- the point where there are no more middle eastern wars -- may never come.

For most Israelis, the endgame is a peaceful, quiet existence without the fear of rockets raining down on your rooftop, or losing an arm, leg or child to a suicide bomber in a pizza parlor.

For many in Lebanon, its pushing all Israelis into the sea to their death.

The game is about two kinapped Israeli soldiers for mutitude of deaths, devastation by air strikes, and instability for the whole region.

Hamas is about to be disallowed to stay around to influence the event in ME. It is no longer about the existence of Hamas and their legitimate rights for the occuppied lands.

Hisbollah support for Hamas, the Syrian support for Hams, or even the Iranian support will not determine the outcome in the ME.

Israel still has the resources to knock them out.
The other side has already derailed any hope for rebuidling a btter lives for themselves.

Winner in the game does not mean winning the war. In fact both will be the loser, while the whole world pass them by. Sad.

Both sides can turn around things by doing the opposite, be uneasy neighbours though never as friends. You may understands they have been at war for many decades.
