I just read a question by a person who wants to discriminate against people (they are the land lord of an apartment building) because of their political beliefs (they don't want to rent to Republicans) and on top of that one of the answers actually said (his words not mine) "it is still a free country unfortunately” Boy good thing the Dems are there protecting people's rights!

Would America consider returning Manhattan to the Indians? Would we give it to them without a fight? If we were forced to return it would we be resentful, try to reclaim it, perhaps by whatever means we thought were necessary? Would we not feel attacked by the world powers that forced us to abandon Manhattan?

Think about it: the trouble in the middle-east is the same question.

After two-thousand years the world decided to carve out a Jewish state in a land occupied by Arabs.

We're still witnessing the -- not so surprising -- fall out.

Who are terrorists: The people kicking inhabitants out or the inhabitants being kicked out?

A friend of mine claims that he recently saw a video and heard news of Osama Bin Laden has been captured. I haven't heard anything. Have I just not been listening to enough news?

I'm not interested in conspiracy theories of "He's in Bushes/Kerry's guest room," Or where he's hiding. I just want to know, has he been captured?

I just bought an apartment complex that has 24 apartments in it.

I do not wish to rent to anyone that is a republican because of their support for this illegal war in iraq, and i do not like their values and do not wish to have them there and bring down the value of the complex. Is this legal? Can I ask them to provide voter registration before I accept a lease contract with them? I just dont want anyone from that party that has supported sended our brave troops in harms way based on lies and fabrications. I love America and I love the freedom we use to have. I just dont care to associate with an extremist political group.

thanks

I personally take the view that politicians are elected to represent the views of the people that voted for them. So I think that when the majority of a population hold one opinion, the politicians should fight for this opinion, even if they personally disagree.

Some people on the other hand feel that the purpose of politicians is to do what they think is best, and we elect them for this purpose because we're not qualified to make the big and important decisions ourselves.

Which way do you look at it and why?

Evne if someone says something bad about our goverment, it is thier right. There was a question here"Do you think Bush Lies" it was that person right to say that. Yet they were forced to take it off. WE are a free country, althought they are trying to change that. If you don't agree fine, but they have a right to say it.

This is what another Yahoo Answers user wrote to me in an e-mail.

I'm not a woman, and it isn't murder. You want to force your religious beliefs on me, I won't burn your church, but I may cheer when the angry women do it

So they cheer while unborn babies are killed and churches burn. What can I say but Hitler lives again.

A few minutes ago, George W. Bush used his presidential veto for the very first time when he overturned a bill passed by Congress that would expand desperately needed federal funding for stem cell research.

Think about that for a moment. For five and a half years, Bush never saw fit to veto a single bill. But now, when Congress votes to support research that could save millions of lives, Bush breaks out his veto stamp for the first time.

Stem cell research has shown promise in treating Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, cancer, spinal cord damage, and countless other conditions and injuries. It could change the lives of every family affected by them -- spouses, parents, children. But with one small action, Bush has robbed millions of Americans and their families of hope for effective treatments.

It is indefensible that President Bush's first veto could cost of millions of lives. We need to stop him.

It's up to Congress to overturn the veto and restore the hope Bush has taken away. But that won't happen without a huge outpouring of public support to garner the votes we need in the House and Senate. Sign on today to stand with Hillary in favor of overturning Bush's stem cell veto.

President Bush had a choice. He could use his authority to put America on the side of life-saving science and research, or he could issue his first-ever veto to stop research, denying hope to millions of Americans. It's clear he chose wrong.

I doubt there's a single one of us whose life hasn't been touched by a disease or an injury that stem-cell research could one day help alleviate or even cure. With virtually limitless promise, this research is far too important for arbitrary restrictions.

Join Hillary in support of stem cell research and tell Congress to overturn Bush's unconscionable veto.

Thanks for your support, and please be sure to spread the word to your family and friends.

I only note this fact because there are many here who gleefully talk about the 'fight against terror' but then condone terror when it's someone else experiencing it.

I think it's wrong to veto stem cell research. Cloning I can understand because it's actullay a person. But meanwhile there are tons of people out there with things that could be cured but he won't approve it, so they are screwed. Any opinions?

maybe im a cynic, but looking back on middle east history has taught me , that for every one you kill another ten are willing to take their place , HEZBOLLAH are not an army, but they are an ideal, and for every one of them that we kill, will only make their ideal stronger

Brian Mulrooney is flashing back into my mind where he spent his time saying yes Mr. Regan and singing when Irish eyes are smiling. Now it's Steven Harper . Canadians are being killed by Israeli aggresion and all Harper did was photo copy George Bush's speech ...........How can he ever pretend to be an impartial Canadian PM when he acts like the branch manager to Bush.

How can we motivate the opposition parties to topple the government and get an election called.

And no I don't care that the Canadians being killed are of Arab or Lebonese background - they are Canadians - the government gave them citezenship and that is all that should count.

Not condemming Israel for killing our citezen's any of them just for the oppurtunity to kiss Bish's butt is unacceptable .
