Evne if someone says something bad about our goverment, it is thier right. There was a question here"Do you think Bush Lies" it was that person right to say that. Yet they were forced to take it off. WE are a free country, althought they are trying to change that. If you don't agree fine, but they have a right to say it.

to those who said I can't take the feed back and I don't want to give those who disagree with me a voice. I have never, no matter how much I hate what someone says, todl anyone they have no right to say it. I don't even report what some call abuse on here. i just let them know how wrong I think they are.

The problem isn't Free Speech. I think you suffer the same way the Dixie Chicks do. Your Completely cool Shouting out YOUR OPINION but, you have alot of trouble when others use THERE RIGHT to FREE SPEECH to Disagree. Don't put it out there if you can't handle the Feed Back.

Believe me, I'm against censorship. But are you sure the question was removed because it was about Bush, rather than having been miscategorized, for instance? If it was put in the Politics category and it really should have been in the Polls category, they might remove it. Normally no one would complain, but since it was a sensitive question it wouldn't surprise me if someone did.

Free speech, as guaranteed in the First Amendment, protects your right to say what you like. It does not guarantee you a forum in which to say it. As Yahoo is not run by the government, Yahoo reserves the right to delete anything they find offensive or inappropriate. It's in the Terms and Conditions.

When you sign up for Yahoo! Answers you agree to the terms that Yahoo! has made for using their service. This gives them the ability to force people to remove any question they deem unfit. I have heard of questions removed on both sides of the political spectrum so I doubt it is your opinion that they are censoring; it is more likely that there are non-partisan reasons for the censorship.

Freedom of speech is misinterpreted by most American citizens. They think it means you should have the right to use all kinds of vulgar 4-letter words whenever and wherever you choose. Freedom of speech means you have the right to speak up against your government.

The right to bear arms is interpreted by some to mean we can carry weapons and shoot anyone we damn well please. The Constitution allows us the right to bear arms against a tyrannical and oppressive government.

Our basic freedoms are often misinterpreted or taken to silly extremes. Yes, many people don't want us to use our right to free speech...people like George Bush, for example. -RKO-

I dont think its that people dont want you to use your right to free speech. However with right there is responsibility. If youre willing to take possible consequences then you can say anything you please. Just use disgression in exercising your rights.

You are free to do in this country exactly what you are told to do, and that goes for speech too.

That sucks! They took off that question and they leave so much verbal abuse on here!?

They want to charge us for the speech rather than make it free.
