Even on this board everyone is so quick to say: "OMG UR SO RACISTS (insert race here) R PEOPLRS TWO" just because they don't agree with someone on an issue such as immigration, war in the middle east (generally Israel/Palestine) ect.. But whenever someone says something derogatory/stereotypical about caucasians, they see no problem with it. And then you got old Kanye on the television saying "GEOORGE BOOSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE." Also Affirmative action, didn't MLK preach about how he wanted equality for all? Why should minorities have a better chance of gaining entrance to a university based on the color of their skin?

It is not legitimate to cut off 750,000 people from electricity,” wrote Gideon Levy in Israel’s Ha’aretz newspaper. “It is not legitimate to call on 20,000 people to run from their homes and turn their towns into ghost towns...It is not legitimate to kidnap half a government and a quarter of a parliament. A state that takes such steps is no longer distinguishable from a terror organization.”

The Democrats are a party that openly identifies with America’s imperial goals and the interests of big capital. Yet we continue to face political forces on the left who insist that we must unite with liberal Democrats and act carefully so as not to jeopardize that alliance--in order to “defeat the right wing.”

This is, however, as it has always been, an embrace that, instead of advancing the struggle, smothers it.

When the U.S.A. dropped the atomic bomb on two cities in Japan, they became, (and still remain), the only nation on Earth to use atomic weapons in anger. Since then, the U.S.A. has developed, grown and dominated the world. It has out-lived the Soviet Union and now faces the economic growth of China - perhaps the only nation on Earth with the potential to challenge their authority. Other nations on the planet should pray that America remains economocally successfull, and that the population remains affluent and comfortable, because if unrest due to poverty or economic collapse ever engulfed the U.S.A., civil unrest could easily force the hand of a future American government to repeat the actions of their predecessors, and end it all for humanity!
What do you think?

There is a lot of talk about him being a war criminal. I don't really want opinion as to whether you think he IS or SHOULD be tried as one, I just wonder what grounds there would be? What consideration and proof must be presented in or for it to happen? And what would be the defense? I'm not really familiar with the Nurnberg Trials. I don't really support the idea, but I am curious.

I have noticed that there are some in government that believe they decide what is and is not moral? No thats not what the British Empire fought for WE the people decide what is and is not right and they say YES SIR ........and make it happen - make it law.

From smoking in bars to brain dead organ donation the decition of right and wrong is NOT their's and I resent the fact they think it is.
WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS?????

Of course, all American adults should see the movie, and many will. But we are so politically polarized that we can expect 40 percent of the nation to follow the lead of President George W. Bush and the talk-show hacks and either make fun of Gore or refuse to see his work. Bush proudly declared he has no intention of seeing "An Inconvenient Truth." Yet, he did read the science-fiction novel "State of Fear," by Michael Crichton, and invited the author to the White House, where the two men reportedly agreed that global warming was somewhat of a hoax.

Republicans are total idiots.

“ONE THING is for certain,” George Bush said 18 months ago in a speech about Iraq’s future. “There won’t be any more mass graves and torture rooms and rape rooms.”

That turned out to be another grotesque lie--because of the war crimes committed by the U.S. occupiers. In the months since, revelations of U.S. soldiers committing mass killings, torture in Abu Ghraib and other detention facilities, and now rape have only become more pronounced in their brutality.

An Israeli artillery shell killed eight and injured 32 on a beach in Beit Lahiya on June 9; Israeli aircraft missiles killed 11 Palestinians on June 13 in Gaza City; and on June 20, at least one Israeli missile, apparently aimed at resistance leaders, killed three children and wounded 15.

The current invasion that began on June 25 has left 52 dead and counting. “Israeli warplanes and tanks never stop, day or night, firing heavy artillery against every target possible,” Rami Almeghari reports from Gaza. “Homes, institutions and infrastructure never escape the Israeli shelling; power and water plants have been severely hit so far, main roads have been damaged, buildings and homes have been shelled.”

Right now the US is (so reports go) considering military action against North Korea, if it attempts to launch a rocket with intercontinental capabilities.
What should we do?
already, we have faced down the former Soviet Union in this same type of showdown. currently we live with China, the UK, the former USSR's states, France (big supporter of ours of late!),and ourselves in the nuclear club.
the Leader of N.Korea is not about to wage war when we WILL wipe his country of the map if he tries!
Sorry to say, but we need to worry about the islamic areas not the communists!
The extremists showed that they can sieze control of a legal gov't (IRAN 1977-78).
Their view is that if they kill us (I am talking about the extremists!) they get rewards and they do not care about civilians.
I think the US needs to fully back allies, but stop being world police.
If an american is taken, then pull out ALL stops!
Iran hostages? never again!!

Ann Coulter is one. I have heard some things said abut her that would make a sailor blush. Condi Rice they usually suggest that she is either a Lesbian (wishful thinking?) or that she is some sort of ice queen. To answer my own question it is two things
1. Conservatives are morally superior
2. Liberals can't compete with me on the issues.

Oil companies like to play a shell (no pun intended) game.
company 1 has 3 subsidiaries.
a sells to b who sells to c who sells again to a
the oild never moves, but the 'sale' price climbs so each company can make a profit and then the ficticiously expensive gas hits your friendly neighborhood gas pump!
fraud and it happens daily!
OIl companies generally announce 350%-500% profits
WOW
and none of it helps our economy (with the exceptions of the boards of said companies). The US gov't puts a HUGE tax per gallon and when is the last time you got 1/10 cent change for your gallon?

time to shake up the system and force, by law, the constant flow of oil, no make believe shortages!
TEXAS and OKLAHOMA produce huge amounts of oil, but they pay more than the nat'l average at times

FRAUD!!!
ALASKAN pipeline oil goes to JAPAN for 50% of what we pay for arab oil!
FRAUD!!!
Let Japan buy arab oil and we can drop prices selling our own
tyvm!

Opinions?
