I've already heard more than enough people who are against this. I'm curious as to who feels a President can, in war, do whatever it takes to prevent another catastrophe?

I have noticed that so many responses to politically oriented questions tend to use the statement "If you don't like it then leave." Does anyone else find this reponse childlike and lacking insight? The fact is, America is a democracy with room for a mutitude of opinions. In fact, it is exactly this diversity that strengthens the democractic process. If we abided by this idea, then the view of the majority would be the only view ever to dominate the political landscape. If everyone that disagreed with current law and policy left the country then we would have one party, with one ideology, and one agenda. Essentially, we would have a fascist society. If everyone that disagreed packed their bags and moved, then we would never have had an American revolution in the first place, much less the abolishment of slavery and the civil rights movement that later followed. Without dissension, we would still be a British colony. Can't we think of a more intelligent response?

Redpublicans keep saying communism is liberal. I don't get it. What is liberal about starving to death in the cold? Standing in bread lines? Living in one room Government housing.

The fetus is then pulled down the birth canal until it has been entirely birthed except the head. Surgical scissors are forced into the base of the fetal skull while the fetus is lodged in the birth canal. This blind procedure risks maternal injury from laceration of the uterus or cervix by the scissors and could result in severe bleeding and the threat of shock or even maternal death. A suction apparatus is introduced into the hole in the base of the skull and the fetus' brains are removed through aspiration.

Pretty gross, huh? Makes you wonder if you would like to have that done to you (I don't think so). If that is the case, why are so many people having this done to their babies?

When Johnson signed the Civil Right Act into Law he said "With this pen we have lost the Southern Democratic vote for 100 years.

I think it is time for the Red Necks to kiss and make up.

Aren't they proud? Don't they do our country proud? Aren't they trying their best to help the country by pointing out all our faults in front of the world, calling our elected officials names (and then hiding under the name "Republican" or "Democrat"), spreading unfounded rumors in the long established principle of "guilty until proven innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt", and printing EVERY bad piece of news they can about our country and its efforts in the name of "keeping the public informed".

This will help us, won't it? They are doing it out of their patriotic duty and the goodness of their hearts.

You believe that's best for us, don't you? Be sure to vote for those who do this, so we can have more. Don't vote for Lieberman, or Rice, or any of those people, because they don't understand world politics like America-Haters do.

Democrats speak out against George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Richard Nixon. Republicans call the democrats "un American." However, republicans speak out against Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and John F. Kennedy. Why aren't the republicans "un American?" If we judge people as being patriotic or loyal Americans according to how they talk about the president, then wouldn't we all be "un American?" We've all done it at one time or another. So what is the difference between Dems bashing Bush and Reps bashing Clinton? I'm ready for (most of) your incredibly biased and close minded answers.

With top government officials and big companies heavily entreanched with Oil can we move away from Crude Oil based products? I know private small companies have created some good conversions for desiel cars to run on vegtable oil (which we can make here easily) The average American can help stop using so much oil if we move towards this, but can we? Would big oil companies and automotive makers allow such a thing to happen?

I don't care what your politics or his, this guy is a freakin bad azz, and it's very nice to see people of his caliber running for office. It always seems like the best people in society never run, and we're left with halfazz politicians representing us. What do you think?

Someone asked a question comparing two ex-presidents (which was worse) Bush was not one of the choices but serveral still said that. I think that libs are so blinded by their hate for this President they can see nothing else. Of course now all the libs will start foaming at the mouth and calling me names so bring it on it doesn't change the fact that I am right.
