The last 90% silver coins were dated 1964 for dimes, quarters, and half dollars. The half dollars minted between 1965 and 1970 were 40% silver, though the 1970 one was only sold in mint sets, not released to the general public. The 40% half dollars have the "clad" look on the edges, so most people do not think they are silver, but they are worth much more than 50 cents today. The last silver dollar that was released was minted in 1935.

Like the guy said 1964 for most coins, and the half dollar up to 1969.
Also a side note the penny stopped using copper around 1983.

For general circulation coins, they stopped using silver in dollars, dimes and quarters in 1964. Half dollars still had 40% silver until 1967.

I think that it was 1964 when the first coins were mented with the copper on the inside. I think before that that it was an alloy. As far as pure silver I don't know when it stopped.
