This question is amusing. It's the democrats that vote lock-step, ever heard of the yellow dog democrats? Come on, the only reason Rush and Coulter and O'Reilly are even mentioned as giving "marching orders" is becuase you couldn't spell Hannity's name. This is so absurd. Like anyone accuses the braintrust of Franken and the rest of air Amerikkka of giving liberal marching orders?

Considering if they had dynamite for brains they couldn't blow up a flower pot... yeah, whatever...

well... of course all conservatives don't need these people... but I don't think the question is aimed at those who don't listen...

it's aimed to the people that watch every night... clearly there are many, if you look at the ratings... and buy every books... the ideas are recycled from one day to the next and all it seems to be doing is agreeing with the people who's minds are already made up...

it's almost like they are not very sure of their positions and they need someone to come along and tell them why they are right...

if you look at the ratings for any of the "liberal personalities" that anyone has mentioned... they are no where near as popular...

some may say "there are more conservatives, so that is why the shows are more popular"... but if you look at voting trends nationwide... this is clearly not true... Bush won the national election over a weak candidate 51 percent to 48 percent in 2004... so the numbers are fairly close...

so in review... I don't know why they are popular... but every time I watch them, they are filled with half-truths and presumption... basically they aren't lying, but they sure aren't telling the truth either...

I guess conseravtives just need that extra support.. I don't know?

Conservatives need the likes of Rush and Fox personalities because they are too afraid to voice any opinion of their own. Most are pretty well out of breath and intellectual steam after blaming everyone else for the sad state of this country. Lots of pissing and moaning, but no action.

The closest thing to actually doing something about any issue as of late was when a group got together to become interior designers and decided our country's "house" needed a really long wall on the south side.

I wonder what color these "bold" thinkers will end up painting it?

I find it quite amuzing that conservatives always thing they're right and liberals are wrong. yet, they are the ones accusing liberals of being arrogant about their views. Sheesh...

To answer the questions, I don't think that is the case. Although, those talking heads parrot the extreme view of conservatives.

Personally, I listen to both sides to get a broad perspective-- Conservative talk folks and Liberal talk folks. Both can, on occasion make alot of sense. Both on occasion are also total boobs...

Coulter is nothing but money/book selling wh**re... All she tries to do is incite emotion and not contribute anything useful except to line her pockets and plagerize other's work.

Why do liberals assume that all conservatives need the Limbaugh et al crowd to tell them how to think?

Or assume that those three are even conservative by any traditional sense of the word?

Actually, I don't listen to any of their shows and I haven't read any of their books.

No, not even Michael Savage.

Do you hang on the words of Al Franken, Michael Moore, or Dan Rather?

Why do liberals need people like Michael Moore and Dan Rather to tell them how to think?

Your question is ridiculous. No one needs anyone to tell them how to think.

I think you have it wrong there. They don't need them to tell them how to think, I'm pretty sure that they watch them because they share the same views, and they would like to watch programs that don't put very much spin on the topics and just state facts.

What a ridiculous non-question. Do you really think that adding "why do' or "why are" to the beginning of a statement makes it a question? Go back to grade school; it sounds as if you left your mind back there someplace.

You're just jealous that the Democrats haven't been able to field any commentators that anyone cares to listen to. Air America has been a dismal failure. Must suck to be you, huh?
