I am a liberal and I have never made a negative sexual remark about a conservative.
However I, frankly disagree with most policies that many conservatives in the leadership of the republican party stand for.
I am pro-choice
I do believe that gay marriage should be left to the states
I do believe that if we expect the government to support the nation and its infrastructure, we should expect to pay for it
I do not believe that the aggressive tact this administration is taking in international diplomacy is not correct in the long run.
I do not believe that this is an inherantly christian nation
I also believe whether or not you choose to believe in global warming, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that if you over develop and over pollute, sooner or later there will be a price to pay. Anyone who had a terrarium or a fish tank as a child can get that. That waiting until something happens is a lot worse than planning too prevent it.
I believe that we as citizens of a great nation owe it to each other to insure that all people have adequite health care.
I belive that issues such as evolution and flag burning are a silly waste of time to discuss and that they are only brought up to inspire a base, not to improve the nation
I also believe that this adminstration and this particular stripe of conservatism is leading this country down the wrong path.
I don't need invective I have common sense.
And as far as Ann Coulter is concerned, she is famous for her mud slinging and name calling of anyone who disagrees with her. So the idea that liberals have the corner on the name calling market is silly. Rush Limbaugh and Pat Oreilly are no better either.

Like you said, some libs, and Ann Coulter isn't a lesbian, she's a neo con Shrill!
I have some concerns about Condi and your president!!
I can compete with you on any issue and you aren't, nor could any conservative, be morally superior! That's an Oxymoron!

Because people are obsessed with things of a sexual nature. All people. Not just liberals. Some conservatives do it. Come on...Hilladyke? I've spotted that on several answers! And the one guy that calls every liberal man a "fudgepacker." Condi...I don't understand the sexual comments there. Ann Coulter...well, she pretty much deserves it. I've heard her say before (about herself) that she is attractive. She opened herself up the the "looks like a man" thing. The more sexual comments about Ann come from conservatives who believe she is attractive.
(Thanks for the some and no thanks for the morally superior/can't compete comment.)
Really, gcb? It's been on lots of questions/answers today! I'll guess you'll be using it now lol.

You know who actually gets it worse than Coulter and the President do? Black conservatives. I've seen the likes of Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell (who isn't even all that conservative) and Condi Rice referred to as "house slaves", "Uncle Toms", and worse things that I'm not going to repeat.
Then again, there are also right-wing fools around here who make similar comments about Hillary that I find quite embarrassing. I don't like her or want her running the country, but the name-calling really isn't necessary.

this is an old conservative tactic-it was used on eleanor roosevelt, dr king, anybody with the name 'kennedy', amy carter, tom foley...where have you been? this was topic 1 thru 1000 during the clinton years. beyond the lewinsky stuff that clinton brought upon himself...there was a whispering campaign accusing the First Lady of straight AND lesbian affairs, janet reno was an almost constant target, and not even chelsea was immune... to question your own answer, it suggest 3 things:
1. you must have slept thru american history class
2. conservatives like you are hypocrites...it's okay when you do it to others, even kids...
3. you HAVE no issues other than the typical conservative whining about being picked on

The sex comments are mostly the conservatives fault. Because in their puritan quest to be morally superior, Conservatives have almost demonized all formes of sexuality or sexual expression. Therefore sex is being associated with filth and sin and is used as an insult. Especially an insult against Christian values and conservatives.
That's because sex is vile stuff for conservatives so it's an easy cheap shot for liberals.

In my experience, it's usually conservatives that skirt the issues. Most true Liberals tend to be progressive thinking, academic or intellectual types that love a good debate on the issues. The last 'debate' I had with a conservative was on whether John Kerry earned his war medals. Talk about off topic.

Liberals haven't any moral agenda. Anything goes. There was a huge explosion billions of years ago and they are the result of that explosion. Makes perfect sense to me.

Because it is far easier to call people names, label them as racist, stupid, and dumb than to use a logical argument.
It is just a lazy way of making a point. In the end who looks stupid?
