"I think one way for us to end up being viewed as the ugly American is for us to go around the world saying, "We do it this way. So should you."
"I think the United States must be humble and must be proud and confident of our values, but humble in how we treat nations that are figuring out how to chart their own course."

This is not an Anti-American question, it is a question I've been wondering about. Has the U.S. ever broken any International Law or violated the Geneva Convention? Did the U.S. ever violate any UN resolutions or laws before Bush came into office?

Some you guys seem to be hung up on Presidential IQs.

The truth is that a higher than average IQ does not guarentee you will be a good leader or businessman. Thomas Edison had an average IQ and just look at the great gifts he gave the would.

But here is what I found after doing a basic serch:

147 Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 Harry Truman (D)
122 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 John F. Kennedy (D)
126 Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 Gerald Ford (R)
175 James E. Carter (D)
105 Ronald Reagan (R)
98 George HW Bush (R)
182 William J. Clinton (D)
91 George W. Bush (R)

Or from another reliable source:

14 Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 Harry Truman (D)
122 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 John F. Kennedy (D)
126 Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 Gerald Ford (R)
175 James E. Carter (D)
105 Ronald Reagan (R)
098 George HW Bush (R)
182 William J. Clinton (D)
091 George W. Bush (R

People are very quick to become enraged over abhu graib and guantanmo bay and gitmo, etc., and to demand war crime trials against our soldiers, yet, no out cry was given or is still being heard over the cutting of Daniel Pearl's throat on videotape, or the beheading of Nick Berg, that BTW took three strikes with a machete, nor the civilians that were killed on 9/11! I lost a very good friend that day who was on her way home to her children when her plane crashed into the towers and she lost her life. Where is the outcry for these people? Why do we ignore these things?

What is the purpose of money? Well we all know that. But it is the root of all evil. If we eliminated money from the Political System, there would be no wars, etc. People could get what they wanted for free (no bartering) and everyone will be happy. What do you feel?

HERE ARE A FEW CONNECTIONS:

Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi-- DEAD -- was named as the link between Iraq and Al Qaeda.believed to be a close associate of Usama Bin Laden and Saif Al-Adel. A poisons expert; ran a poison and explosives training camp

Husam Al-Yememi--CAPTURED--a top deputy of Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi who is believed to link Iraq directly to Al Qaeda.

Muhammad Hamza al-ZUBAYDI--CAPTURED--"One of Saddam's most ruthless war criminals" -Clinton Admin

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. HE HAS ALSO GIVEN AID, COMFORT, AND SANCTUARY TO TERRORISTS, INCLUDING AL QAEDA MEMBERS. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Every now and then we hear of a new tape by Bin Laden as if he's a rock star or something! Isn't this boring? And ever since 9/11, no serious harm was done except the "questionable" subway accident in London years ago.
Do you think Bin Laden is a real enemy? Or just a Joker that Bush is using to "justify" attacks and keep America in a state of "fear" so that the people obey whatever the government is up to? Remember that Bin Laden is a US trainee in the first place and he was sent to Afghanistan to fight the Russians by hypnotizing the Afghans by the Islamic flag so that they would listen to him. I don't think the CIA or Pentagon or whoever trained him are stupid enough to let him escape and become a rogue agent then an enemy!
What do you think?
