It would actually be more politically correct and logical if the first female president was conservative. Republicans are more forthcoming with their power and the first female president must not be weak. The first president that isn't white will probably be conservative too otherwise he'd/she'd be more likely to get assassinated. If all the gun toting conservatives support the ethnic president, the only real threat is the black on black crime.

Of women it would be a tossup. There was strong talk years ago about Elizabeth Dole running for President. And the Democrats have already had a woman running on their ticket as a vice president.
With Blacks it seems highly improbable that the Republican Party would ever produce an electable Black person to run. Mainly because there are fewer that 3% of African Americans who are registered Republicans.
And no, Colin Powell isn't really a real Republican (not by today's standards) any more than any moderate is.

Hard to say, but it could very well be the Republicans as Republicans have some very impressive women/minority candidates. Alan Keyes, who is black, was considered the best speaker in the 2000 Republican primary and would make an awesome president -- he'd have my Republican vote! Condoleeza Rice is another candidate who many have mentioned as a possible Republican presidential candidate -- and she's both a woman and black. I don't know enough about her though to say if she'd have my vote. If Ezola Foster (another black, female conservative who ran for Vice President on the Reform ticket with Pat Buchanan) were to become a Republican and run, she'd for sure have my support!

The republicans, because they do not have a problem with Blacks rising to the heights. The democrat plan for Blacks is that they want to keep them dependent on the big government plantation. When Alan Keyes, Condi Rice and others think for themselves and not like the way the grievance-nazi democrats want them to, they get slandered for it.
The Republicans are much better at allowing people to dissent from the party line (Senators Specter, McCain and Graham are still welcome) while the democrats have gone so far to the left that Senators Lieberman, Nelson, and Bayh are ostracized.
