Yes. They mounted a terrorist campaign against the British forces there who were administering the place after the second world war.

The international community was trying to sort out how to give the Jews a homeland because of what the Nazis and the Russians had been doing to them in the 30's and 40's, and in the meantime the Brits were trying to prevent the Jews just simply taking the land by landing ships full of Jews in the area.

They were always going to get it anyway as Britain was pulling in its forces from most of its former colonies, but they were impatient and decided to kill the same troops who had liberated them two years before in the death camp at Belson.

Gratitude eh?

This is one of the reasons that the British establishment at the most senior levels has tended towards being sympathetic to Arabs believe it or not.

The Israelis never had a problem with Palestinian Arabs, and lived in peace with them for years until with Libyan, Syrian, and Iranian backing organisations like the PLO started terror campaigns against them.

By doing this instead of co-existing peacefully the Palestinians turned much of the world community against them.

Killing civilians on buses and hijacking airliners and ships tend to put people off your cause.

Yes, the main target of Jewish underground groups such as the Irgun and the Stern Gang were British troops. For example, read about the bombing of the King David Hotel in 1946, carried out by the Irgun.

I think that some people who has narrow minds have to wake up
Yes Israelis killed many British soldiers .....But antisemitism remains the magic word who prevent any body from talking about something Israelis hate to be known..Why Zionism is a taboo that nobody dares to question it?who said that all Jews are belong to one land?and if they believe that God promised them to have this land why should Arabs be responsible for what they believe? If the holocaust had been over 60 years ago why are Zionists remain occupying this land and fight its original people?

From this question (and your other questions), you obviously are anti-Jewish, a muslim who sows seeds of racism. Why don't you discuss how many Americans, British, et al., that muslims have murdered in the past decade (not even considering Iraq)? I would bet it is a much greater number than of British soldiers you claim the Jews have killed.

my grandad was there,47/48,and he told me the opposite,in fact they turned a blind eye so to help the jews, and most of the soldiers that were there disliked the arabs as much as jews did,
