Tough questions for those of you on both sides of the issue. Read carefully below.

If yes, why? There are lot's of evil regimes, is our country obligated to pre-emptively bomb and kill in order to take out every single evil government in the world?

If no, why? We also took out Nazi Germany without them doing anything directly against the U.S. Should we have simply let Hitler's regime flourish? What's the difference between a pre-empitive strike against one leader verses another? Both had murdered multitudes and defied international law.

I believe that most people who choose to align themselves with a political party, be it Democrat, Republican, or whatever, is basically a good person. I believe that everyone's opinion is the end result of that person's upbringing, the values they were raised with, and their own life experiences, and are no basis for attacking their character. I guess this is why it just gets to me everytime I hear "All Republicans are stupid warmongerers", or "All Democrats are bleeding heart cowards". It's childish and completely unproductive. Isn't there anyone here who disagrees with the other side's opinions and at least still respects their right to them?

BTW -- I am a Republican.

Why are political labels applied to everything now a days?

Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal…WHY?

I am an Independent, I vote conscience not party. I just don’t get it.

Why do people like Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh label, tag, classify, and pre-judge every little thing then gets said?

The resolution in question had but one purpose, and that was to put the Democrats in a no-win situation politically. If they voted for the resolution, they would be tying themselves to President Bush’s disastrous policy. If they voted against the resolution, the Democrats would expose themselves to the charge that theirs was a position of “cut and run”—precisely Karl Rove’s strategy for turning the albatross of the Iraq disaster into another Republican election-winner, as it was in 2002 and 2004.

According to a report today by the Associated Press, "Eleven Sunni insurgent groups have offered an immediate halt to all attacks — including those on American troops — if the United States agrees to withdraw foreign forces from Iraq in two years"

So, brave Yahoo respondants.... what do you think? The U.S. has already stated its desire to pull out once Iraq's government is strong enough to sustain, govern, and police itself. That can't take longer than two years. Isn't this a win-win situation?
