Bush and Cheney should go back and read about life in Russia under Stalin.

That's something of a model for what they're trying to create here and now.

Thank god the first amendment still guarantees freedom of the press. We've given up enough freedoms already in the name of Bush's war on an ideology, it scares me to think how many more freedoms we'll have to give up before cooler heads take over.

I think we should end government secrecy once and for all!! This is a democratic Republic, right? We have a right to know what our government is doing in our name.

It's ironic (and moronic) that conservatives, the great anti-government crusaders, are bending over backwards to let George W. Bush steal the very civil liberties that our American military forces have fought for hundreds of years to defend.

The hypocrisy and cluelessness is mind-boggling. They all must've slept (or prayed) through their civics classes.

P.S. And you're right about it being a jihad against open government! If we knew what they were doing we would finally be able to take control of our government again from the special interests and the shadowy, parallel government agencies (like Cheney's Office of Special plans that cooked-up the war in Iraq).

I assume that you are referring to the New York Times running a "story" about the US government tracing the funds transfers between terrorists. Well the truth of the matter is that even the Times admitted that the program was legal and the program was working. There were terrorists caught because of it. This story severely hampered the US to track these animals. I can't believe these people don't they understand that these Islama-Nazis would behead them as fast as they would a US serviceman? Hey I have an Idea why don't you go find one of the Islama-Nazis that are killing our servicemen and tell him bush sucks. He will agree with you then cut your head off.

That would be the same jihad started by Clinton? Except he did it for political reasons, not national security.

What do you think of the brain dead liberal paper's jihad against this country and anything Bush does to protect it?
