He calls himself all kinds of things.
Remember he calls himself the Decider, regardless of congress,
he called himself a compassionate conservative, although i really can't tell you what policy's or actions are compassionate except to Corporations.
He calls himself a uniter not a divider....he was most likely talking about how he eats his Oreo cookies because all i see is partisan politics exercised by control of the legislative, judicial and executive one party rule.
He can call himself a Christian, or anything else he wants, even if his deeds and words are in complete antithesis of the path of Christ.

Yes he can. I am also a Christian. However, there seem to be a fair amount of liberals responding to this question that have an extremely warped view of Christianity. I am not going to preach to anyone, but some of you might want to open the Bible and read. It's also very interesting to me that you seem to only connect Christianity with Conservatives or as you all call us "Neocons" (whatever that is). I know many born again Liberal Democrats. You all make Christianity sound like a dirty word. There is a very good book entitled "The Faith of George W. Bush", I can't remember the authors name, but it's been out for awhile. You might want to read it and at least get a bit of an insight into the man, his childhood, family and his faith in the Lord. I only say this, because without knowledge you're just rattling off the same old garbage, educate yourself a little. Thanks.

George W. Bush is the very definition of a Christian. He believes in the potential of each human being. He is not racist like liberals are.
Bush once made the remarkable statement about "the soft bigotry of low expectations". I want you to remember that quote. Think about what he is saying. I've talked to a lot of liberals about the war in Iraq, and when I bring up the obvious point that millions of people have now been given the opportunity to live in freedom rather than tyranny, they mindlessly object with silly, irrelevant arguments.
If I chide them enough, and make them hot under the collar, they will finally lose all control and exclaim, "Oh come on, you don't really expect that a bunch of volatile, irrational Arabs can handle democracy, do you?"
Whoa......! That's what liberals really think. They don't have confidence in Middle Easterners. They believe Arabs, Persians and Palestinians are ignorant and backward, incapable of ruling themselves without a strong dictator like Saddam keeping them in line.
Bush did not denigrate the people of the Middle East with the "soft bigotry of low expectations". Unlike the Democrats, he believes in their potential. He does not arrogantly be live that they can't handle democracy.
Liberals only see a bunch of scary, fist pumping ragheads.
George W. Bush sees their god-given potential.

There is only One who can judge that. What I see in him is a lot of the Old Testament "laws" and very little of the New Testament compassion.
1 Peter 3:8
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.
Matthew 6:24
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
1 John 3:15
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

Anyone can call himself/herself a Christian if he/she desires. Is George Bush truly a Christian? That's for God to judge, not you.

That is not for you or me or anyone else to decide. Jesus Christ will judge us all and he can see into our hearts. I am so tired of the self righteous left passing out judgment like they are so much better then everyone else. I would suggest that we all worry less about whether anyone else is a christian or not and think more about our own walk with God.
