Yes I do. I think Lee Greenwood sang it best.

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

It's not my country. This is an international web site.

After I went to the US my opinion about the US changed pretty radically. Most of the world thinks of the US as being crass, loud and arrogant, as well as being incredably unaware of any culture or event outside of it's borders.

When I visited the US I really liked it. There are many aspects of the US that make it a dynamic and amazing culture. There still is some of that element I mentioned before, for sure, but it's so different to what I expected.

I guess I've seen so many Australian behaving badly over seas. I'd hate to think that it's how the majority of Australians are.

I used to think this was the greatest country in the world.
I'm a Texan who is patriotic to a degree, but i don't like what this country has become over the last 30 years.
We are a nation of spoiled, materialistic brats.
There are no basic family values like we used to have.
Work weeks and divorce rates are getting out of control.
We force our views on other countries and it makes them hate us and I hate to say it, but I understand why.

After finding out that this country was built off of the revival of the Roman Empire and NAZI Facism, I will answer No. Plus the powers that be, all they want is for everyone to be their human guinea pigs for more money. PLUS PLUS, they took alot of people from their own home lands to make it happen.

The shopping's great, prices are comparatively cheap. You can buy most things without searching too hard, but I find it very hard to say that it is the bet place in the world to live right now with the Administration that we have got.

I am glad I was born here however the sheer materialism is getting to me. Will we use the last gallon of gas to run a Hummer to the Pizza restaurant? We have become a nation of lard @ss no accounts.

I do.....

Almost anywhere you live if you drive five hours away in any direction you are in a different climate, terrain and culture. You don't have to get on plane to see desert, snow, casinos or the beach. Just a nice scenic drive and you are in a different place.
