The resolution in question had but one purpose, and that was to put the Democrats in a no-win situation politically. If they voted for the resolution, they would be tying themselves to President Bush’s disastrous policy. If they voted against the resolution, the Democrats would expose themselves to the charge that theirs was a position of “cut and run”—precisely Karl Rove’s strategy for turning the albatross of the Iraq disaster into another Republican election-winner, as it was in 2002 and 2004.

The main reason why the Democrats have such a hard time fighting the Bushites is because they can't present a united front on anything. If they united on the issues and stopped giving the Republicans an excuse to accuse them of "flipflopping", they would win more elections.

As far as Karl Rove goes, I wish someone would kill that motherf**ker!

Summer has barely started. A lot can happen in the17 weeks until the next elections.

Among the things that have yet to be weighed; the reaction to higher gas prices; inflation; trials of servicemen who committed atrocities; revelations of Republican corruption by Jack Abramhoff...DeLay, Scooter Libby....

But I see a counter-strategy developing. It goes like this:

Americans don't have faith in Bush anymore, they don't want to waste any more time, lives, or resources in Iraq. The rest of the world largely feels the same way.

Everyone wants us out of Iraq, even the Iraqis...

It's mainly the Republicans who want us to stay....

Stay And Pay?
Hmm..

I'm sorry we're not just brain dead like the Republicans, we actually believe in something and we don't just blindly follow each other. That's what make us so powerfully, we are the one and the many, so we're not clueless, we have our differences because we Think not just just play Follow The Leader. Tapscott

Democrats are stupid and clueless, it takes no strategy to prove that. The majority of the country sees them for the liars they are.
