I'm shocked that some southern states still have no laws to protect kids. I've lived all over & this is mindblowing. I've researched & TN seems to have the worst record. Don't the bible belt polititions care?

You should be worried.. Very Very Worried. In the guise of protecting you, you are being stripped of all your Human Rights. Complacency is the best friend of the tyrant.

How about 2 new Y.A. "members only" Categories, divided into subcategories? Interested people identify themselves (via two optionally answered questions at registration time) as 1 faith: Roman Catholic, Wiccan, KJVonly, Jewish, Atheist, Born-Again Christian, Muslim (subdivided into Sikh, Sunni), Hindu, Buddhist, Eastern Orthodox Christian, LDS, Jehovah’s Witnesses etc. & 2 politics: Conservative, Socialist/Communist, Liberal, or Libertarian. Yahoo would store this information and it would enable members who had identified themselves as belonging to one of those subcategories to ask and answer questions classified into one of those subcategories. Anybody would be able to READ the discussions, but insulting, irrelevant, or unlearned remarks (and hence COMPLAINTS TO THE MODERATORS) would be reduced, and quality of the discussions elevated. Debate could still take place in other categories, but there'd be a place for discussion among like minds. Rude "posers" would be easy to spot.

republicans are using the religious conservatives and middle management as a tool to continue to raid the pockets of working americans and tell the people that are just getting by with 300,000 dollar mortgage and two kids in college that america is great and the poor want to be poor otherwise they would gey educated and rich well how many jobs do you think there are that pay 100,000 a year .and how many pay just 10 dollars an hour and who would work for ten when they could make 20 there is only so much oppertunity and you have to fight to get anywhere in any company to get better pay you are no smartter at 50 making 100,000 a year then you where at 22 coming out of college you have been trained for every job you do and told what your job is where it ends and who you listen to .is there room for one more boss in your company and are there 10 applicants for it --doese that show you anything this keeps your pay down the more people who are qualified to do the job the less valuable it is.

With republicans supporting cancelling the constitution and supporting genocide and anti Freedom Measurements worldwide. How can we as liberals help them walk away from that Anti American Path and realize that America is a wonderful country that belives in human rights

With so many misdeeds and disregard for the law and structure for the office of President. Clinton was dogged from day one and nothing he did/didn't do cost the voting public in money or lives. Kenneth Star wasted 70 billion dollars and sent a lot of people to jail while on a wich hunt. I don't think Pres. Clinton would have been absent from the white house 56% of the time like Bush was in 2001.

They have higher voter participation than the US and they risk their lives to go to the polls. What is your excuse why this is a bad thing?

If democracy "isn't meant for the Middle East" why do they risk their lives?

Maybe the world is bigger than your tiny minds and cold hearts can realize.

I have much respect for my fellow soldiers, but you know who is even braver? That 43 year-old housewife who walked across town to vote, after thugs told her they would kill her if they did.

Tell her that we should have left Saddam in place.
