First who the heck are the red staters? I'm from northern Minnesota and it is HUGE in the entire surrounding states. EVERY WHERE people love meth. On this site today a man from South Africa said it is huge there too. It is the one of the most dangerous drugs out there. It takes your friends, family, careers, belongings and eventually your life.

I suspect because there is a great deal of poverty in Red States and meth is cheap cheap cheap. The richer the general populace that a state is, the more likely they are to be willing to not mind higher taxation and Democratic policies.

Being in the proximity of abject poverty and its culture of irresponsibility draws out a certain conservatism in those more fortunate. We in the red states see first hand the failures of Democratic policies.
