I'm shocked that some southern states still have no laws to protect kids. I've lived all over & this is mindblowing. I've researched & TN seems to have the worst record. Don't the bible belt polititions care?

"lunatic rant" that's rude! In 1 western state, if u ever commit domestic violence you can never get custody of your kid(s) even if the other parent dies. In TN you can get custody of your kid(s) no matter what you've done, as long as you bribe, threaten or con your kid at 12 & up to tell a judge they "want " to live with you. How's that?

(1) Children under 18 can't vote & therefor are no threat to politicians...(2) Unless someone can make money off programs (supposedly to help kids) it's not of political importance...(3) As long as Government can keep the public focused on issues like children, including education, healthcare & violence, they (politicians with hidden agendas) can keep making bigger money from other BS programs...There is more but that should give you an idea...BTW ; I'm a 48 y/o single father of a 2 y/o son with FASD and an "Advocate for Children's Rights"...I'm fighting a losing battle, but I'm going to keep fighting until I die...Someone has to do it and maybe someday we'll be heard...

As a life long resident of Arkansas I can tell you that the law books pertaining to protection of children are very thick. I would like for you to come up with some specific examples of what you are talking about instead a lunatic rant about something it would seem you know nothing about.

So you've pulled one law out of one state. Hmm, time for the rest of the states to fall right in line. In Arkansas, yes petition can be made to the court for custody of your children at age 13 and above but if you think it is based solely on the desire of the child you are wrong. The court takes a mutitude of things into account before handing that child over to the petitioning parent.

And THAT is how you think you've made your point? I'm from Arkansas so point made? You're a waste of space and time.

Petition parents with concerns, and start a parent's concern group As a parent's group in numbers go to local city council, mayor, governor, and senator of your state. Get news coverage.
