Personally, I think the Republicans who voted against the minimum wage should be forced to live on it for a few months and then see if they want to change their vote.

Yes, CEO's should have a salary cap and not be given a "golden parachute" when they exit the company. It would help the airline industry too.

So what would the incentive be to take on all the stress and complications of having such a job.

Really, a minimum wage job is an entry level job in most cases. They are not jobs meant for people actually live on. I had to work two of those jobs just to pay my way through school (min wage was around $3.)

If that be the case than min wage would have to raise to $13 an hour. Which would raise labor costs 300%, assuming that labor consists of 20% of variable costs end products in a one step product sale would raise by how much?
Now let's look at inflation, you'll see interest rates around 13% for homes and 26% for cars...add that to the increased price of the goods and you my friend have just given up your lifestyle, the lifestyle of EVERY middle-class working American so that a kid washing dishes can make more money for beer. Or someone who dropped out of high school cuz they are way too cool... can now fix their 1982 Trans AM.
Besides, do you know what the minimum wage for an oil company is? You, with NO experience and NO education, can make 50K per year.
Maybe you should learn about economics before you comment on them.

Well, that would be counter productive to the American dream with its capitalism and all and free market system. But do wonder how some CEO's sleep at night.
