My friend was injured at work. She works at a hospital, and she slipped on a wet floor, fell, and hit her head. There was no sign indicating the floor was wet. She had to get 3 staples in her head and has a concussion. She is unable to work right now because a nerologist said she has post concussion syndrome. Even though, she has the proper information for workers comp..they are stalling to give it to her. She is very angry and is always talking about suing. I want to know if this is a good thing to do. It was an accident and I worry if she tries to sue she would lose her job or something. Is it wise for her to proceed? Could she lose her job by suing the hospital she works for? She cannot afford to not have this job, she is a medical secratary.

i am a massage therapist in chandler AZ and i am questioning my place of employment because they require me to work "off the clock" and i thought that if your job requires you to work on something, that they have to pay you for your work. ex. it is mandatory that i join a club at work....so i joined the wedding club, i go to wedding shows and advertise for my employer but do not get paid for it. that is just on of the things many of us do for free at work... the list goes on!!

since its time for the negativisom to come out i thought it was disgusting when hillary clinton brought up the fact that she knew Bhutto for 12 yrs. after she was just asassinated to bring up a tragity like that in these times just to benifit her politacal stance in the usa to me is disgusting and them 12 yrs. they were probably just aquantannes i could be in touch with someone for a decade but that don't mean i know them like she lead on i think to know someone is to know some of their habits and close family what do you think ??? P.S i dont think we need a president that uses someone elses grief for a little leverage she should think about what Bhutto's children are going through when Hilary doesnt have to worry about being in that kind of danger

Shes 27 graduated from Stanford and has a masters degree
from Oxford. She goes with Hillary on some campaign stops in Iowa and when a little girl walks up to her and asks her a question for her elementry school paper she tells her, Im sorry I don't talk to the press. Evidently she doesn't talk at all even on stage.
I think thats so odd. I could see when she was a child it was hands off but now as a mature and educated woman? They still tell the press hands off? What are they afraid of? Why does she even go to the rallies if she and they so relish her privacy?

I'm a business owner, I work by myself. I thought that it would be nice for a police officer to stop in from time to time for coffee or use the bathroom, but I was told in order for them to do that that I would have to hire them. Being that people are so cruel, I thought if a officer came in from time to time, that bad people would think twice before they would do their wrong.Since the tax payers are already paying their salaries.

If, by definition, an actor is a person who pretends to be someone he or she is not, for the purpose of pleasing others, then why would we listen to them and give them any credibility?

My landlord is trying to tell me that my boyfriend of two years can only stay over my house occasionally. Now my neighbor has his girlfriend stay over all the time and nothing was said to him. To add to it... he is giving me crap about to many vehicels in the drive way when the vehicels he is complaining about are my neighbor's car, his motorcycle, his girlfriends car AND his son's car! This is in Pennsylvannia, so if anyone has an answer I would appreciate it.

Should we eliminate ALL foreign aid, foreign involvements, membership in the UN, European defense, concentrate on our citizens and ignore the issues of the world?

Can we have a foreign policy without upsetting someone?

The U.S. leads the civilized world in the number of prison inmates. One in every 136 Americans is in jail or prison. We have a higher prison population than all of the European countries combined, including Russia. Nearly 8 million Americans are parolees, and future numbers are expected to rise.

Until a recent Supreme Court decision, judges were hampered by mandatory sentences, with no consideration of circumstances. A majority of prisoners are incarcerated because of non-violent offenses, most of them drug offenses.

Many prisons have been privatized and are paid by the governments for their expenses. In turn, prisoners are charged fees for their prison stays. Add this to fines, lawyer's fees, etc., and many parolees are deeply in debt, with little hope of relief.
Should jail terms for minor drug offenses be shortened? Should some drugs be legalized? Should Rehab be considered for nonviolent drug offenses, rather than long prison terms?

It was in a desolate area that I rarely see anyone. I keep them on a lease because I see coyotes often. This morning there was a woman with a small yapper of a dog - NOT on a lease - which came running up to my dogs. The male is NOT friendly and kept trying to go after the dog. The woman was a LONG way away and just kept calling for her dog to return, and of course it just kept pestering my dog. I was able to open my car and get my dogs in - but with MUCH effort and fear that my dog would kill her dog. My question is: what would have happened to me if my dog did get a hold of hers and wounded or killed it? I'm angry that she put me in this position by not having her dog under control, but it scares me to think that she might be able to sue me or....

About a year ago, while I was pregnant with my daughter, I was arrested on criminal charges (egging a car) and spent hours in jail. I then got an attorney and went forward in the case. After the birth of my daughter the case was still pending and problems with my ex arose. I then hired an attorney to obtain custody of my daughter. When I went to court for custody, this past August, the "accuser" from the criminal case was there. When she got on the stand she testified not "She messed up my car, I spoke with the county attorney this morning and she is going to jail next week. They said they are pressing charges to the full extent and she is definitely facing jail time" This month, charges were dismissed due to "unreliable witness" I lost a couple thousand dollars, spent time in jail, had my reputation ruined in my home town, and moved out of town, which I had lived in for 16 years, and my parents still live in. Can I sue her? I know perjury is a crime also, and I am not in jail either

They defend Bush policies. They approve the War in Iraq, without a word of the false way it was started. Aside from Ron Paul, every Republican Candidate sounds just like Bush, defend his stand on the issues, say little or nothing about the huge waste of money that Bush has approved, and have no solutions for the domestic problems that face America, like rising inflation, unemployment, crumbling infrastructure, etc.

Why would these Candidates defend a President that even many loyal Republicans admit has been a disaster, financially and otherwise? Why would they not step away from his policies and outline a new path for America's future? Why would their speeches echo the sentiments of George Bush, when Americans have ranked him so low in the polls?
