Shes 27 graduated from Stanford and has a masters degree
from Oxford. She goes with Hillary on some campaign stops in Iowa and when a little girl walks up to her and asks her a question for her elementry school paper she tells her, Im sorry I don't talk to the press. Evidently she doesn't talk at all even on stage.
I think thats so odd. I could see when she was a child it was hands off but now as a mature and educated woman? They still tell the press hands off? What are they afraid of? Why does she even go to the rallies if she and they so relish her privacy?

I can understand her not answering a slew of questions especially those not appropriate or not concerning her mothers campaign or Presidancy. If she's walking down the street and reporter asks a question she has every right not to answer but at a rally where shes asking people for their vote for her mother she should be responsive to questions from at least the local press. She is not a kid! I'd say the same for the Bush Twins now that they are older.

I think it is odd myself. if she is going to be on stage clapping and working the crowd she obviously has a view. it is a shame her parents will not let her speak. She is obviously well educated, what are they afraid of?

Even Hillary, the presidential candidate, has effectively barred scrutiny by thepublic & the press from HER activities as First Lady.

These experienced manipulators know that if there are no words, they can't be twisted.

Look at Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID). If he hadn't told us that he wasn't a homosexual, we'd never had known.

He did that before he resigned from office.

No. Wait. He's still in office!

LOL

It's not strange at all. She handles herself quite well; she probably does not want to be defined by the actions/words of her parents, or the media. Would you?

You can't punish the son, in this case the daughter, for the sins of the father or mother. She may just want to stay out of the media eye because she is seeing what the media is doing to her parents and other candidates. I am a Conservative Republican so don't you all think I am defending the Clintonista machine..I just think some things should be off limits..like blasting the kids...

At least she said she was sorry for not talking..she just may be gearing up her own run into politics and doesn't want any embarrassing sound clips floating around when she does run.. she sounds like she is just like her mother calculating and ambitious.

She is not running for office. She could be considered a staffer, but then again, so do the Bush twins, and I don't see their names in the paper except in conjunction to their father, do you?

No. You do not. What's good for one side is good for the other, nicht war?

You know how the press likes to misconstrue anything you say.
She probably don't want to say anything that might jeopardize her mothers campaign.
However you don't hear about her going to wild parties or drinking and driving. I also hear she is interested in politics. If she intends to run for office someday she would have to watch everything she does and says from this point on.

I personally don't follow the antics of Chelsea Clinton a lot or for that matter any of the children of the Presidential hopefuls but i doubt the reason she doesn't want to talk to the press is out of fear that if she opens her mouth she will somehow be compelled to slip up and blurt out something horrifying about her family. she probably just doesn't like talking to the press or maybe she doesn't like children.

What idiot told you that? It's her decision whether or not she wants to talk to the press. Doesn't she have that right?

Of course, just another Clinton double-standard! They'll attack anybody but bristle when they're questioned. We all better hope Billary does not win the election.....

Why should the press make up gossip about Chelsea Clinton? What purpose would it serve?
