WASHINGTON - After promising unprecedented openness regarding Congress' pork barrel practices, House Democrats are moving in the opposite direction as they draw up spending bills for the upcoming budget year.

Democrats are sidestepping rules approved their first day in power in January to clearly identify "earmarks" — lawmakers' requests for specific projects and contracts for their states.

If 50% of black babies and 50% of Mexican babies are born without viable fathers and families of many children all sired by different men is not first resolved and if men continue to think it is 'macho' to have many women impregnated during nine months poverty will continue to grow and be an issue.

I hate to see those in need but I think it is impossible to fix poverty until we teach people responsibility. This again is a result of 'liberal' compassion.

The children of these situations suffer the consequences. They have to eventually join gangs to feel they belong while the women and men are busy creating more innocent children to fend for themselves.

The cancer needs to be removed from society instead of bandaiding the problems.

I'm sorry but too many years of liberalism has greatly diminished the U.S.

It's great that she has the right to free speech, but it makes me mad to see so many entertainers be so critical of the government. Does she really think she could do better? What do people in other countries think when they hear/see her and the Dixie Chicks saying these things? They probably think we are a bunch of wishy-washy fools who can't get behind our President....in other words, we look weak . What ever happened to United We Stand?

Everything else about Bush aside (please), shouldn't we think seriously about impeaching a President who made a grave error about WMDs. I'm not suggesting he lied, I'm suggesting that his reason for going to war is now reasonably seen as at least poor judgement/incompetence in his job. Sports coaches, CEOs, etc... get fired regularly for poor performance. Shouldn't we hold our public officials to the same standards we would for our favorite teams and companies we own stock in?
I would very much appreciate any replies from Congressmen/women or Senators (Federal, State, or Local levels)

The Catholic Church in Scotland and Wales is saying that any Catholic MP or other representative of the people who votes in favour of abortion on demand, will not be allowed to take Holy Communion. Is this a Catholic plot to disrupt the free democracy of UK?

When answering, avoid mentioning the word "Republican". This isn't about Republicans. It's strictly about Democrats and their ethics. Or lack thereof.

9/11 truth knows no boundaries regarding ridiculous party politics. Below is a website of credible military, government officials, physicians, scientists from all sides of the political spectrum, including officials from Clinton, Bush I and II as well as Kennedy administrations that openly denounce the official story of 9/11:

There are also just as many liberal types that are hawking the official 9/11 conspiracy theory (or at least helping to cover it up): Amy Goodman, Mother Jones Magazine, Salon.com, Liberal For Life Blog ect, Matt Tabbi (Rolling Stone journalist) of course the entire Democrat elected officials in office right now.

House conservatives are ready to stop the Senate immigration bill in its tracks with a potent procedural weapon should the contentious measure win passage in the upper chamber. The trump card conservatives may hold is a constitutional rule that revenue-related bills must originate in the House. The Senate immigration measure requires that illegal immigrants pay back taxes before becoming citizens, opening the door to a House protest, dubbed a “blue slip” for the color of its paper.

So what are you going to do? Are you going to let the Dems pass this Amnesty bill? Are you going to yell and scream at your Dem senators? 32 repub senators are already going to vote NO, all we need is 19 Dems to vote NO.

I still hear many republicans say that 911 was because of Clinton not taking action on Al queda when there was intelligence they were planning attacks. Also there was a report that an unmanned drone plane saw a tall figure that "might be" Osama at a training camp in Afghan but didn't take the shot.

Lets look at some things shall we? Ok first off The attacks happened after Clinton left office. He can't stop something after he's gone.Lets also look at the fact that In the Ragean years they basically trained and supported Al Queda for the war with russia making them what they are today.Bush's once right hand man Powell said he personally trained Osama and his men at one point.Lets now look at Iraq who we had to go fight.Rumsfeld was once shaking Saddams hand and supporting him with chemical weapons in his war with Iran. Before 911 powell also helped approve 43 million in humanitarian aid to the taliban.Republicans created these people they are so gung ho to eradicate today.
