WASHINGTON - After promising unprecedented openness regarding Congress' pork barrel practices, House Democrats are moving in the opposite direction as they draw up spending bills for the upcoming budget year.

Democrats are sidestepping rules approved their first day in power in January to clearly identify "earmarks" — lawmakers' requests for specific projects and contracts for their states.

When left wing loons can't answer a question with intelligence I always expect name calling, please subject yourselves to reality and at least a feeble attempt at an answer.

Patriot Act - I have nothinf to hide, look all you want. If citizens have nothing to hide ans want some tiny bit of security you should feel the same.

Torture - I really could care less, maybe we should behead prisoners and post on youtube like the enemy?

Of course! "Unprecedented openess" only meant they were going to expose republican pork. Just more of that same old liberal double standard.

Democrats make rules and break them, huh? Read and weep:

When President Bush signed a law banning torture he quietly signed a statement saying he could bypass it. Earlier, Bush signed the USA Patriot Act but signed a statement that said he did not consider oversight rules binding.

Sounds like you need to change"democrats" to "republicans"

Yeah. I asked this question earlier and all the libs could say was, "well, it is better than what we had".

How many new ideas did the Republican led Congress and the president come up with that the Dems shot down?

There was $20 billion of pork in the recent war bill. How much do you wanna bet a decent chunk of that was a quid-pro-quo for a yes vote?

The Parliament of Whores never ceases to amaze me.

Republicans have done the exact same thing when they were in control of Congress; also, they also ran on a platform of "honest, transparent" governement only to do the opposite.. What is your point? This is nothing new.

I would rather have them doing this instead of starting bogus wars under false pretenses and attacking the Constitution.
I can not think of any one thing worthwhile Republlicans have achieved in the past 7 years.
Also I can't support a party that steals presidential elections as the GOP did in 2000.
