Remember George Bush led the UN to fight the first Iraq War but messed up the US economy. Bill Clinton came in, and improved the domestic performance; cut down crime rate and even let the Americans enjoyed an economy bloom in the late 90s. Now, George W. Bush fights the second Iraq War when almost everyone except the British said it is not the right time to do so in 2003, and again mess up the US economy; a lot worst than what his father did. So, do you think Hillary Clinton can again fix the Bush problem? She kind of has 8 years experience in the White House.

And are these two (support/like) mutually exclusive?

Only serious answers, please.

If you did not vote for him and hate his guts, please do not answer here.

At present, I do not like or support him, but I am curious as to why I should. Even with the discord over the war, etc, he garnered enough votes to be elected. I want to know what, exactly, do you Americans that voted for him see in him. Are they admirable qualities; if so, what are they? Do you feel he has great leadership qualities? Did religion or moral issues sway your vote? If you voted for him, but are now unhappy with his direction, why?

I will say, I did not vote for him, either time. I want to know why you did.

Very few people I know are still with the Republicans or Democrats solidly. Most people will say I vote for the canidate or they just don't vote because they think its rigged or they say they are Independent. What I hear alot is that the politicians are bought and paid for by corporations. What do you think?

the president of the USA has done a lot of damage. the majority of his country hates him. and a lot of the world thinks less of america becuase of bush. he handles things with the least of care (katrina). but i belive bush is doing america a favour, and he's the only one who knows it. and he is so dignified to the point where he's willing to throw his life (and his familys) away. he see's the arrising problem is the middle east and is trying to stop it. even if his "reasons" for going there were lies, he knew it needed to be done for the protection of the united states of america and the world.if nothing is done in the middle east it will end up as a huge radical muslim terrorist state. thats what he is trying to prevent. they are crazy in the middle east and want to bring armeggedon. although i belive bush has really screwed the usa and he does many things wrong (katrina...) i still have respect for him for doing the RIGHT thing. am i the only person who thinks this?

I can't help feeling sorry for Bush. His legacy has gone down the trash can. His failed economic policies have lost millions of jobs. His healthcare and social security policies have been a nightmare. He refused and failed to send an appropriate amount of troops into Afghanistan to apprehend Osama Ben Ladin and Al- Quida, instead, getting us stuck in Iraq. He is arguably the most unpopular American political figure of all time, in the eyes of the world. He has turned nearly every country against us, and raised Anti American sediment around the world to alarmingly high levels. He can't even convince Senators and Congressmen in his own party to vote on legislation he wants passed (Immigration bill). His polls have dropped to a 26% approval rating, and Democrats and Republicans alike have lost complete support for him. Bush’s administration will go down in history as a complete failure. You can’t help but feel sorry for the idiot.

do you think he is a honest toad, the toad name michael moore? So this is the same F A T A S S, who right after 9/11 is quoted (I actually saw the news report where he said it in front of dozens of people) as saying "theyre is no terrorist threat!" So according the slimy overweight toad the bombing of a madrid train, the bombs in London buses and subways, the global car bombings and suicide bombers too numerous to count, the foiled plot to blow up planes leaving UK and the recent car bomb plot foiled in UK and the others we've seen since 9/11 are what all right wing conspiracies? this toad is full of it, he makes films to make himself rich so he can sit on his fatass and eat chips and soda off his belly never having to get up off the couch. I believe the toad's only agenda in this sicko mockumentary is to see america destroyed and reborn as a commie socialist state! do you agree with me or the anti american slimy fat socialist toad?

okay...WE PUT EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS and/or PRISON! that would COMPLETELY END CRIME AND MAKE US SAFE!

or...

we could TAKE AWAY EVERYBODY'S FREEDOM, SO THAT THE MUSLIMS DON'T HATE US ANYMORE!

that's why they hate us, right? "They hate us because we are free."

BUSH has got it right! He just hasn't taken it far enough!

Why is it that conservatives think that the market should drive the availability of media when we are taking about talk radio and the fairness doctrine, but think that the market is inadequate when it comes to the content if entertainment and want greater regulation?

This report is a load of ****. I was in Iraq last year (June) for 6 months and the base I was at (there are over 100 American bases in Iraq) had a death toll of 2-3 soldiers a week! That equates over 90 deaths in one year at *one* base. This report is so full of it. I used to see the news crews led around by the officers and they got treated real nice at the chow halls. LOL!!! whatever, what a joke. **** Bush, and anyone for this war (esp. Christians).

As I see it, there are two major problems with using torture to attain information from suspected terrorists.

First, it is unreliable. I assure you, if you torture ME long enough, I will admit to flying a plane into the Pentagon or any other heinous act you want me to confess to...even if it was physically impossible for me to have commited the act.

Second, and more importantly, the main thing that makes America and it's people great is our high moral and ethical values....and when our goverment tortures people....even people out to kill us, we are no better than the terrorists we fight.
But still, I would like your opinion.

What about the so called "Dream Act" that would give illegals who dodged the law for 5 years a FREE education? We can talk all day about how it pays to break the law if you are an illegal! When was the last time anyone in government ever offered an American a free education when they broke the law? Do you find this to be an outrage? Do you agree we should not stop making noise so the fat cats in Washington hear us loud and clear? What say you.....American?

if its the military suffering the deadliest loss of any quarter since the beggining of the conflict - then you have commanders saying it will get worse before it gets better

When chenney or the AG refuse to answer, its executive priveledge

If its democrats trying to ask for data used or covered up, its a political ploy.

When you effort too hard to try to make yourself look squeaky clean every single time -- well then people will see youre full of crap in the long run.

If this administration just stopped and said, "okay we messed up here" then people will be more supportive.

But with bush denying every single thing -- it only makes people want to get them.

"This is very bad news for Mexican migrants in the U.S.," said Jorge Bustamante, special rapporteur to the U.N. human rights commission for migrants. "It means the continuation and probably a worsening of the migrants' vulnerable conditions."

Really why are they not concentrating on why they are coming to the US to begin with? Why are they not concerned with the poverty that the Mexican government does not seem to be bothered by?
