If the world had gone to war against Hitler in 1935, it would've been cheap. But instead they tried to have peace, and that gave him a chance to build a huge army, so that when he attacked them later, he killed tens of millions of people. The peace of 1935 ended up being pretty freaking expensive.

The term "cost of peace" relates to sacrifices of anything and everything needed to secure liberty up to and including the sacrifice of life.

The "cost of war" can also be measured in lives lost but more commonly refers to a dollar figure. Such as the nearly 440 billion already spent on operations in Iraq.

In peace the rich have to give a little. in wars they make a lot! Many economies have been kick started with a good ole war!

The cost of peace is about the same as the cost of a relationship! If you want your marriage to work, you have to work on it everyday! If you don't, a few names here and there and you are in divorce court. Think what that is going to cost you, and then think of those who are going to benefit from it!

War is very expensive, in both monetary and moral terms. Peace is the most important thing.

I support war against terrorists, but not the way that Bush has gone into Iraq. I agree that Saddam should have been removed, but not the way that has proved to be so costly.
