It's because most of us love and respect Capitalism, and want the chance to be wealthy. Liberals tend to think that Communism is a winning concept (never mind the Soviet Union and China).
"Everyboy's special, which means that no one is."
-Dash Incredible.
It's also because a lot of us are Conservative Christians, and feel as if everything we believe is being misrepresented by the media, and persecuted by the ACLU and all the special interest groups, who now seem to own the Democratic Party.
We DID all used to stand for freedom, democracy and liberty, but now you hear people like Hillary Clinton using words like "collectivism," and phrases like "It takes a Village."
Conspiracies usually come from the left wing, but these days, it's not hard for someone who believes in God, goes to church, tries their hardest to provide for their family, and watches 60 minutes or CNN to begin to think that something is amiss; that someone, somewhere, is trying to do away with our way of life.
Hope that answers your question.

I say we should totally abolish the Democratic party!
AND the Republican party!
And every party! Independent voters make their OWN decisions, not those made by some politico pushing their buttons.
The question is more: "Why are people so ignorant as to believe that a way to have an intelligent discussion is to ask loaded questions with no basis in fact, in an effort to childishly insult anyone with a differing opinion?"
Oh, but I know the answer to that one: right wing talk radio has brought political discourse in the U.S. to the level of the Jerry Springer Show, with nothing but disdain for anyone out of lockstep (ask Ron Paul). Sickening.
I just wish people would spend more time reading, thinking, and reasoning for themselves instead of being spoonfed talking points and toeing some party line.

The Liberal ideology is a concept which holds forth ideals that have not have been given any foundation truthfully. they're Advocates of a coverage that empowers a good government to enslave its those with a severe tax burden incident to the help of extravagant and pointless social courses unfavorable to the two the paintings ethic between the decrease class, and the motivation to innovate and be triumphant between the working class. the subject concerns we are dealing with as we communicate are because of the fact the persons who paintings for a residing are outnumbered by employing people who vote for a residing. A democracy will survive up until eventually the time that electorate detect that they could vote themselves beneficiant presents from the wide-unfold public treasury. From that 2d on, the majority consistently votes for the applicants who promise the main reward from the wide-unfold public treasury, with the effect that each and every democracy will ultimately cave in over unfastened economic coverage

I think people hate the liberals is because they associate liberalism with the Democratic party. I for one am a liberal however, I cannot stand the current Democratic party. I believe in helping people, I believe in giving to charties and I believe in standing up to the President when I believe he is doing something that is unconstitutional. I don't believe in lying down and taking it. Also alot of people have been brainwashed by the Administration and Faux News that liberals are a danger to America, just because they believe in this little thing called the Constitution.
As for the Conservative Christians and the Religious Right, I have this question. Christ believed in helping people, he did not believe in war and he challenged the power elite. In many ways he seemed to take the attitudes and beliefs of the liberals, so I ask you this. If you claim to follow Christ and God how come you reject everything Christ said and did? Maybe that is another reason people hate liberals. They are not afraid to show the hyprocisy of the so-called Religious Right.

Because the people who are identified as "liberals" are Socialists and I am opposed to Socialism in all of its forms. I am a Classical Liberal which means a real Liberal (19th Century philosophical school) and I reject this label being applied to the 20th century variant. I call them Socialists of Leftists. It's more accurate.

I'm a democrat. I don't detest the Democrat party, but am very proud of it's accomplishments.
I do, however, oppose socialism (read: "liberalism") that has crept into my party and taken over.
I believe in free speech (including for republican talk show hosts);
I believe in free expression (including for Christian fundamentalists);
I believe in equal rights (not special rights for special groups).
We've made these ideal household values (you, too, don't deny it!)
Unfortunately the Republicans have done a better job representing these values than we have lately (thanks).
Fight socialism. Fight sedition (I'm doing my best), regardless of which party does it. Don't vote for people who use sedition.
I'm a democrat, second, and a patriot, first.

Yo White Star, pick up a Bible and actually read it for a change. If you had read it, you would know that Israelites fought many wars to regain the "promised land".

Because they are stupid socialistic communists! Free health care? a muslim president? WTF! no way. Mrs. Bill Clinton and some halfrican muslim will destroy our country and take our troops away from iraq and we will be attacked again and then we wont retaliate because liberals are twisted in the head and are not Christian.

Only kings and queens refer to themselves as "we"
Or do you just need moral support for that statement because you can't stand alone?
