Well leave sometime after the November 2008 election when Hillary is elected President. But if you are waiting for Bush to see the light. Don't hold your breath.

Considering the world's largest Embassy is being built in Iraq along with permanent Military Bases and even a leading Democrat Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton, says "we have strategic interests in Iraq" (Oil) and not all troops will (ever) leave; it does not look encouraging. Combine this with Bush's statements this week comparing the Troop presence of Iraq to South Korea where U.S. Troops have been for over 50 years and the fact that over 60% of Iraqis support attacks on Occupying U.S. Troops; there will be coffins with American flags for years to come.

Yeah, that's kinda what I said all along. You should never go into a war without an eventual end or exit strategy in sight.
This is one reason I like Dr. Ron Paul for President. I think it will take a Republican to actually get us out of the war gracefully, and he even voted against the original resolution to go IN to Iraq, so you know he had the foresight to see this coming. I think he'll be a great leader and help us regain the respect our great nation deserves.

We probably won't.
People like comparing this to Korea... but the thing is, North Korea and South Korea weren't mixed to begin with. If we separate the two main sides in the Iraq conflict apart, then sure, maybe it'll be like Korea. However, due to the level of mixing and people preaching against segregation, this is going to be very tough.

If we get a democratic president after the next election, I'd say there is an 80% chance we leave Iraq.
If we get a republican president after the next election, I'd say there is an 20% chance we leave Iraq.
I would say there is a 1% chance we leave before Bush leaves office.

No, he never did.. ever! Now his big talk is that we will handle it like Korea or ?Germany. Who is he trying to kid.. those were wars that were justified.. not just a war so he could try and make a name for himself. This whole thing is so disgusting.. I am sure the Iraqi do not want us there... when will he learn.

I'm not for the Iraqi war, I think it was unnecessary and the American citizens were misled by their own government. But I don't think we can take all of our troops out Iraq...some, but never all. We'll probably have a certain amount of troops there indefinitely like we do in different areas all over the world. What I think we should do is get the Iraqi's trained and make them fight their own civil war.

The US will never leave Iraq as long as Bush is in office. Now he is even trying to abandon our own border security by taking US border patrol agents and sending them to Iraq, where they can patrol Iraq's border (this is a more important priority to him) and he also wants to send state National Guard troops as well. Bush is doing everything wrong for the US and everything wrong for Iraq as well. Everything he does is just plain wrong, and he does it all with that leering sneer on his face, as if to say "Screw you, America, I am the Decider!"
