Are people only looking to pounce on their opposition here?
How long before our government officials start wrestling and cat fighting in session like you see in other countries?

It's a matter of eliminating the the corrupt, inefficient middle-man (politicians).

Shouldn't taxpayers have the ability to alot at least a portion of their own taxes to what would be considered debatable laws and issues. For instance, if someone doesn't approve of abortion, they shouldn't be forced to subsidize abortion clinics and vice-a-versa.

What if taxpayers had complete and direct control of ALL their taxes, totally eliminating the need for red tape politicians? Wouldn't this create an enitrely populist society, where citizens no longer have to worry about how their taxes are being spent?

Why doesnt Israel use an airstrike on Iran to take out its nuclear reactor or nuclear lab. I know that Israel did this in the 80's to Iraq just wondering why wont they do the same to Iran.

This probably sounds like I'm trying to start trouble, but it is a sincere question. It so happens that for the most part, the Republicans I know are selfish, narrow minded, different levels of racist, not curious about the world, impatient, and bullying. I could go on. So I'm really asking for some examples of people who contrast those things who are actually Republican.

We live in a world that raises its fists and says "My rights!!" Will that ever promote world peace? What will YOU do, right now, to start the process of achieving world peace? We have too long passed the buck with arm chair analysis in the comfort of our homes. How can we individually and then corporately as a global village band together and achieve world peace? Is it possible?

My question is “why is everyone jumping on the anti war/anti-Bush band wagon”?
Trust me when I say I am not a big supporter or this “war” but I am a huge supporter of our elected President. That support doesn’t come from me being Republican or even agreeing with everything he does. That support comes from a simple saying I learned in school years ago: “United we stand, divided we fall”.
I do feel so very sorry for all of our lost service men and women but in reality, they are doing the job they signed up to do. I was in the military and I understood it wasn’t a “free ride” and there was a possibility I also could go to war and a very real possibility that I could die if I did go to war.
I don't want to see anyone die either but what about our law enforcement people who die every day trying to protect us? Shouldn't we unite together and try to stop crime and save their lives and stop wasting time bashing the President?

Let me hear your response good bad or ugly.

So they gave their portion of tax savings to charity right? I'm sure none of them kept their "tax cuts for the wealthy" knowing that they were "wrong."

I'm writing an essay about the irrelevancy of the UN in today's world. I need 5 body paragraphs. So far I have three - one regarding the charter, another regarding unilateralism amidst multilateral organizations, and another discussing the failures of Rwanda, etc.

Is there anything else I could talk about that you think is irrelevant about the UN. I was thinking something about reforms within the set up, ie. the Security Council, but I dunno how to word that. So any help would be great!

Rearrange the letters in "George W. Bush" and you get "Who Beg Surge". I find that highly amusing.

On Thursday, Jan. 25th I got a call from the school nurse tell me Nadia had recieved a "small bump" , Nadia was told Douglas the whole story when they got home.

3 boys , One holding her down "in the handcuff game" and one kneeing her and one threatening to rip her heart out, while yet 2 more boys egged them on and didn;t go for help.

And where was the teacher you ask?? on the bench talking to another teacher, while my child was being held down on her stomache, face in the dirt.

This happened at what is SUPPOSED to be one of the best schools around here. I am ASHAMED to have my child go to Riverchase Elementary.

NOTHING happened to the boys that did this. THEY GOT PUT IN THE THINK TANK, AND TOLD THIS WAS INAPPROPRIATE PLAY BEHAVIOUR.
i took her to the er, and they made pictures, and called the police. dhr was called. it was written up as assault 3.
teacher blew me off and said it was a game they'd been playing. This is a school system known for is show Two- A-Days show.

From everything I have been taught about the Middle east women are second class citizens there! Can we really expect a country like Iraq to treat all equally regardless of gender?
Or are we fooling ourselves?

Why do people ask rhetorical questions, then select answers they agree with as 'Best Answer'.

In my opinion, people should select the most complete, thorough, thought out answer as 'Best Answer'.

I've seen answers, from both sides of the political spectrum, dismissed for answers like, "BUSH IS A NAZZZZI!!!!", or "libs don't care about people because they're the real NAZZZZZZZZIIIIIISSSSSS!!!!"

Any thoughts or feelings, please share.
