I believe it is highly possible that our own government is responsible for all the car bombs and ied's in Iraq. Think about it. We have never been shown clear evidence that anyone other than our own government attacked us on 9/11. We KNOW that Iraq was invaded for NO GOOD REASON. We KNOW that Bush is pressing hard to put more and more people into Iraq in light of the fact that we shouldn't be there anyway.

So, if the people behind 9/11 are the people in control of this war in Iraq, why then would it be beyond comprehension that THEY are the ones setting off all the bombs to make it appear that we MUST stay there?

I'm not saying this is the case by any means, but it is food for though. I also believe that regardless of the truth in 9/11 or Iraq, that deaths would subside there and NOT increase here if we just left Iraq. What do you think?

Purely for debating. I say without the United States, the United Nations would be a waste of an organization. Not only can't the United Nations effectively field military operations without US logistical support and military aid and intelligence, but has no influence and desire to persuade countries such as Iran to abandon its nuclear capabilities. Who does the world turn to when there is a regime that needs to be overthrown, or a war to fight, or they need money. Not the United nations, but the United States. And in turn those countries then complain about every policy the US has. These is no real United Nations, its just the United States propping up these other countries to make them feel like they have a say in world policy.
Can we pull out? that is for you to talk about. :-)

Its like, if you don't fall in line they can come up with all kinds of smear, terrorism it is, they will ruin your whole life. They are leading this country to intolerance. Divide and concore, slash and burn? And then turn around and base it on faith? Its blashemy, no integrity what so ever.

I've noticed when responding to questions in Politics/ Government, the answer will often seem to be the same political party as the person, or support the same views as the person picking the answer. So even though there may be a dozen+ well-written responses the answer "Bush sux" or one referring to male appendages receives "best answer" for example. I think this makes Yahoo Answers look stupid and & maybe some of us could go outside our comfort zones and pick an answer that is more well-written even if it written by a person from another political party? This happens in other areas, but politics is so guilty of this, I am tempted to just give up, or pretend I am from another political party when I write an answer! Maybe Yahoo Answers should just take away the whole ability of people even choosing best answers in these categories and leave it to a group vote? Any ideas? More than 1 question sorry...

Aren't we acting like foreigners when we hypenate our names with the ethnic name of our ancestors? I don't get it do you? I am an American Period, I have no loyalty to any other heritage. I will respect their countries and their cultures but I have no desire to attach their name to ours as if I want to place their flag here either? Wasn't that the point of Independence, to dissolve all loyalty to those places of origin and not turn our backs but to be allied in government to protect all interests but not hang on like a monkey with a vine only letting go when they have another vine. That sounds like a traitor or a double agent? We cannot serve two masters. There is only one God and one country I am loyal two what about you? And I won't argue the name of God either but I will argue about the name of my country and the flag we will have here won't you?

I am a Christian and have my own thoughts on this matter...I am curious to know what you all think...should the US become a Christian nation, or should it continue to remain a religiously neutral nation (although the government has been forced to intrude into Christian nativity scenes etc.)

Or will you keep blaming it on the Government? If you want to rule than do it right? But don't we have to take responsibility first?
Do you think hatred is the answer to solving the issues at hand?
Or open communication without prejudice for the real truths to come out? How do we resolve these issues within our realm of the Constitutional Laws? How do we reunite? Is there any doubt about the fact that we need to stop hating our own and being so ungrateful for the freedom we have here to do so under our democratic government that should stand strong to show those haters out there that no matter what we will Stand and we will prevail? Or are we just Ingrates and spoiled rotten and not worthy of the things our ancestors built for us? And we will fail because we are Infidels? That we don't deserve to live? Or do we pull it together and get on with it and prevail in Freedom? Isn't it up to us? Please pray tell me your answers?

rights bill? And when he lost Cuba? Wasn't he scandalis with women in the White House? And didn't he lose many of his Catholic supporters? (the conservatives) Primarily wasn't he hated by J. Edgar Hoover as well? Isn't the difference here between Bush and Kennedy, one is an aggressor and one was not? And would not JFK want us to stand by our government regardless in War or not? And govern our own through our existing political powers for the fact of unity? Or would he throw down and fight from within? Just curious? Have you read Profiles of Courage?

Was JFK liked? Was he the youngest president? Was he a Catholic Democrat? Did he pass Civil Rights through Congress? Did he promote bussing for Blacks in white schools? Did he declare Martial Law in Alabama? Wasn't he at the time of his Presidency the most vetoed President in Congress? Did he not put troops into a highly controversial police action in Vietnam? And didn't he confront Russia and Cuba in the Bay of Pigs? And wasn't he considered the most hated? And wasn't he assassinated?
