Purely for debating. I say without the United States, the United Nations would be a waste of an organization. Not only can't the United Nations effectively field military operations without US logistical support and military aid and intelligence, but has no influence and desire to persuade countries such as Iran to abandon its nuclear capabilities. Who does the world turn to when there is a regime that needs to be overthrown, or a war to fight, or they need money. Not the United nations, but the United States. And in turn those countries then complain about every policy the US has. These is no real United Nations, its just the United States propping up these other countries to make them feel like they have a say in world policy.
Can we pull out? that is for you to talk about. :-)

Absolutely agree with the United States propping up other countries, but for us to pull out would be a horrible mistake. The United Nations is like a frat house; sure, there are some buddies here and there (or "allies"), but for the most part, each brother (country) is just trying to make it through the next semester (life?). A lack of interaction between each other has made the United Nations weaker, but the United States has made it militaristically stronger. If the U.S. were to pull out of the U.N., we wouldn't have any allies left, and that's exactly when the Terrorists will attack. Ahh, didn't think about the terrorists, did you? They're everywhere, just waiting for us to slip up, and pulling out of the United Nations is like having our overshields down; we're vulnerable. 10 points to me for that Halo reference.

It would fold. That would be a good thing after it was discovered that they are backdooring money to North Korea
