So they gave their portion of tax savings to charity right? I'm sure none of them kept their "tax cuts for the wealthy" knowing that they were "wrong."

Oh, tax cuts were meant to allow people to invest more money to create more jobs. We have had 42? maybe, straight months of job growth. Now, has it worked??

The point of this question is to say that Democrats are hypocritical, right? Sure they are, hardly anyone isn't. I won't make excuses for the rich; c'mon, though, is it really productive to demonize Democrats or Republicans? Wouldn't you all agree that it's more worthwhile to figure out how to make America work for average people?

What with so many problems, we should be trying to find ways for all our citizens to live happy lives and protect their families. The tax cuts certainly helped the rich, and they may have helped the poor, too. But how did they help the poor? What was cut from the budget? Hopefully inefficiencies, or unnecessary programs, but I doubt it.

it did help them... but some of them also said that they thought they were excessive... espeically with our growing debt and deficit... we're making some progress, but we're still in the red...

like Pelosi, who is somewhat wealthy from what I understand, is pushing for tax increases basically only for the wealthy, when she herself is wealthy...so she would have to pay it...

It did help John Edwards build the largest and most expensive house in his county. But think of all the illegals he helped out with construction and landscaping jobs, so its ok.

They don't want to portray themselves as the rich people that they are. They want to be seen helping the "little guy" and demonizing "big business" even though America is built on business.
