We live in a world that raises its fists and says "My rights!!" Will that ever promote world peace? What will YOU do, right now, to start the process of achieving world peace? We have too long passed the buck with arm chair analysis in the comfort of our homes. How can we individually and then corporately as a global village band together and achieve world peace? Is it possible?

I believe in doing little things and big things can happen from there. I am doing my part by teaching kindness, tolerance, and empathy to my kids.

I'm not sure how to answer your first question...how can we achieve it?
I have a reason for that, it is because i already answered your last question...which was, "Is it possible?"
Peace is a wonderful thing don't you think?
i bet most of us wish this world would stop fighting and we would all come to the conclusion that we should be friends. I indeed agree, that that would be great. But i asure you, this world as it is, and has always been, will never reach peace.
It doesnt matter how much we want this "peace."
It doesn't matter why or how we want it to come to us. All i know is that we can't achieve it, just like we all know that we can't achieve perfection.
I know it sounds bad that peace isn't near, but think of it this way; perfection is also far away, but we try...and it makes people better as so to speak. Maybe if we all tried to make a peaceful world, by inviting friendships and unwelcoming arguments, then maybe, just maybe this world could come to an agreement, one that will allow us to work together even if there's a fight or two, here or there...
Never give up on being perfect...it makes you a better person, even IF you'll never reach it.
Never give up on reaching for the stars, even IF not everyone will cooperate.
The world may never come to peace, but if even ONE of us tried, it would make this a better place.
and isn't "better" a more satisfying option?

More people have died at the hands of atheists like Hitler and Stalin, but I don't think banning atheism would be a good idea.
The best way is to work with the people of oppressed communist/socialist countries and try to help them fight against their totalitarian leaders. Most of Africa is this way and that's why they're starving. Look at N.Korea and Venezuela, two of the most oppressed communist countries and the people are so poor it's hard for us to imagine. Venezuela has tons of oil, but it's run by a ruthless dictator and the people are literally starving to death. This is not a way to create peace.
So economic freedom would promote world peace. I really don't think we can ever get rid of evil people, but it's a start...

No. As long as rich people have an interest in conflict, there will be wars. Which gives me an idea. If the Arms trade is done at government to government level with a law against profiteering middle men and agents then we are moving closer to world peace.

You are deceived, while you wave your protests and cry about man's inhumanity to man car bombs are blowing babies heads off in their blown to Kingdom Come mothers arms! Get a grip! These people will all kill each other, if it were not so hideous it would be comical! "Drew their guns and stabbed each other" Everyone wants peace, but it is not attainable until we contain the loose canons and put a tourniquet on the hemorrhaging, and that cannot be done peacefully!
