Probably because I email my House of Representatives member, Bart Stupak, regularly for many issues, I've been invited to a town hall meeting in 9 days. Having just watched an Inconvenient Truth with my daughter, I realized once again that all other issues are secondary to having a "playground" where all our human dramas are played out. Therefore, I'd like to make the most of this opportunity to move the agenda of changing policy regarding the US contribution of the staggering CO2 levels we produce. What should I say, if I have an opportunity to speak? Should I push for re-attaching the US signature on Kyoto? Or is there something else more important? I could not think of a better civics lesson for my "tween" daughter than showing her how to step up to the plate and press for civic accountability of our leaders.

does that mean next year (and the years there after) is also going to be a national holiday? Boy, bush sure is trying to get his bushy( I mean brownie) points in. I have been trying to find out about my son over in Iraq (and can't get anywhere with that,)trying to even find out how to write him and where because I haven't heard from him in over two years, I'm really worried. These holidays make it hard to get anything done with everything being closed(sorry, I'm just a worried mom).

The way I see it, the war on terror is a COMPLETE FARCE. 9/11 was DEFINITELY an inside job and I am SICK of being told I dishonor the lives lost on 9/11 when I do my part to expose the greatest display of treason in the history of the USA.

I believe the lives lost on 9/11 are continually dishonored by Bush, his staff, those in govt that go along with the 9/11 farce and all Bush supporters who refuse to do any research into Bush's credibility.

What do you think?

i can understand free trade with canada, our economies are close, but Mexico, the only way that will work, is mexico will have to come wayyyyy up and the USA will have to go wayyyy down for our economies to get close, as long as it stays like it is, the USA will suffer and Mexico will reap a rich harvest

They certainly are to me as a soon-to-be Independent. It appears they won the vote because of the failure of the Repubicans, as opposed to standing for any just causes or anything that's actually helpful for the country.

Au contrare, the opposite is true and their plans will cause great harm.

Taxes are going to go up, our economy will become destroyed and more terrorist attacks are likely to occur on our soil, sadly. I feel disheartened and oppressed when I observe them, especially that cuckoo bird flapping her mouth. It's the same feeling I had while doing 8 years in San Clinton.

The wise man, Solomon, wrote, "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn." (Proverbs 29:2 - KJV)

I do know, however, that you liberals love having your scumballs in there.

lots of people are telling me communism did not work. this is true. but also they say: in theory communism could work. i was just wondering..what do they mean 'it could work'? do they mean that yes, in theory, communism would create a sort of utopia? in my mind, a country in which you cannot improve your social or economic status however hard you try (and therefore have nothing to aim for, or wish for, or bother to live in hope of). basically, i just don't see why anybody could ever be happy under communism. am i making any sense?

why DO people say that in theory it could work? what do they consider to be 'working'? because i suppose i was only taking into account people's happiness?

but then i thought the whole point was that everyone would be happy if they have the same. maybe it is just that i disagree with that completely.

so basically : i'm confused. please help!
