The U.S. has already spent more than $350 billion on the conflict.

She want additional $100 billion for the Pentagon in the Iraq and Afghan wars..!

Does anyone know that the Consitution never says anything about the seperation of church and state? The seperation of church and state was reference Thomas used in a letter one time, not in the constitution, and he meant that one denomination should not be favored over another, like in the times of Great Brittain, when certain denominations of christians were favored over another. Can anyone show it to me?

How come if 70 percent of the nation is chritian, then why are we so worried about taking the word christmas out of the stores, and taking under God out of the Pledge. In a nation where majority rules, which being a demoracy is what it is about, why is the majority so worried about offending the minority. Does it not offend the majority when the minority gets what they want all the time. Like gay Marriage for example. Majority says they shouldnt be married, but they still are making headway in their case. WHat do you guys think?

No longer is there right and wrong. There is now less and more wrong. If something is wrong, it is wrong period. I see so many liberals and liberal Republicans use this stupid argument all the time. I asked a question regarding whether the new MA governor was right for prohibiting the state police to arrest illegals. I got a few answers about the President's refusal to deal with the issue. So what, I know Pres Bush is wrong on the issue. Just because he is does not mean that whatever the MA governor did is acceptable.

Once again, is moral relativism the biggest problem we have today? No one wants to have standards anymore.

If this is not the biggest issue, what is? Save the political attacks for another question.

Okay, I've been out of the (political) loop for about six months. I haven't seen much news as I'm now a stay-at-home mom. But it's killing me not keeping up with current events. Sooo, why is Donald Rumsfield out? He was great! All I can find is recent bits about it, but not the whole story. Help!!

I heard a 25 year old guy who just got out of the military today on the radio. He had not been hurt in battle but said that his back hurt to bad to work from having to carry his heavy back pack in the sand. His knee also hurt him. He was mad because the thought when he got back here there would be people lining up to give him a job but turns out there were not. He thinks they should be because he was a soldier even though he as no education beyond high school. He also said he could not bowl anymore or be around people because it scared him not after being in Iraq. He drinks now to help the pain. My question is why in the world we would owe him anything but the paycheck he received for doing his job. He is the one who signed up for the military, as far as I know we have not drafted anyone in a long time. It is not my fault he did not chose to get and education and stay the hell out of the army.

Hello all,

After hearing Nancy Pelosi's touching speeches about inclusion and non-polarization, I've decided to become a Democrat. However I'm not sure I'd fit in very well. In addition to not being a communist, I do not support cut and run foreign policy, I do not consider George W. Bush to be the spawn of Satan, I am not in favor of murdering in the name of "choice", and I do not want to tax America to death.

Can I still join the DNC even though I'm not a communist?

The price of ketchup has gone from $.99 to $1.39 in recent weeks. This is an outrage and it's clear that "Big Ketchup" is gouging America. I demand a congressional investigation of "Big Ketchup". Let's put John Kerry and Teresa Heinz on the stand and make them justify their obscene ketchup profits.

Yes...
I cant believe the news today
Oh, I cant close my eyes and make it go away
How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...

Broken bottles under childrens feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I wont heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday bloody sunday...)
(allright lets go!)
And the battles just begun
Theres many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart

Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday

How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...
Tonight...
Sunday, bloody sunday (tonight)
Tonight
Sunday, bloody sunday (tonight)
(come get some!)

Wipe the tears from your eyes
Wipe your tears away
Wipe your tears

They are now saying that next year foreclosures will be at an all time high. And its bush's Fault. What kind of idiocy is that. There are a number of reasons why, #1 we just went through 20 years of a mega housing boom, the last 10 years being phenomenal. It only makes sense that with the rise in home ownership eventually you would have a rise in forecloseurs. 2. Also, too many Americans bought houses they could not afford. Add on top of that all the debt they piled up buying even more stuff they could not afford, and you've got a recipe for a royal financial mess.
