Do the spouses of our military personnel also want us to keep fighting this war for unknown decades till some president decides enough is enough?

I think Jenny and Studbolt ought to hold hands and get over their minor differences. I hate to see lovers quarrel.

i doubt very much if the families of our soldiers want them to keep fighting... for what.. how long.. until they come home in a coffin?

i also really doubt that the majority of the soldiers want to stay either.. but they have to say they do... it is part of their training never to question the president...some choice huh?

First off, the spouses have no control when it comes to the military. Second of all, this is from the soldiers' point of view. They are the ones over there actually dealing with this problem. Just shows how disrespectful people can be by talking trash and saying Bush needs to pull the troops out. The soldiers want to be there, they want to finish the job. they have all lost a friend or partner in this war and they don't want to see them die for nothing. I feel the same way. Let's continue to push forward and stay the course and finish the job. I'm just glad our soldiers feel this way. People try to compare this with Vietnam. There's no comparison. The soldiers were in Vietnam because they had no choice. The soldiers in Iraq want to be there. I feel we will win this war due to the fact that the morale in our military is so high. makes me feel very safe in this country.

I recently saw an interview on the Today show discussing just that. They had several, about five, military wives who all said they would want their husbands to keep fighting until it is won.

While I don't know how I would feel if my boyfriend was fighting in Iraq, I do respect the position those women took. They must be very strong.

My husband is currently there, and I miss him more than any words could describe and i don't think anyone understands the slightest of what it is like to have a love one overseas unless you go through it. However, it is his job and it's the job he loves...I support him in everything he does. Being an army wife I have met a lot of soldiers who I think of as brothers, which some of will not be coming home. As much as I want them home, I want them to stay and HURRY on getting the job done...so those killed and injured have a reason. To those of you who support our troops....thank you.

doesn't matter if they do or not. the ultimate goal is the survival of our species and most middle easterns would rather us be gone. the only way to assure we survive is to take the fight to them. alot of people in the region hated us long before iraq. our support for israel has created a generation of haters that want an islamic rule. down with the pagans who abuse the word of GOD

I know an alarming number of military wives who cheat on their husbands while they're away. I think they're indifferent; sure, they'd be sad to see their husband get killed, but the government will pay then for the rest of their lives.

Obviousy they don't want their loved ones in harms way, but if the soldiers that are actually in Iraq want to be there then obviously they know something that the liberal media is hiding from us.

it's really not up to the spouses and yes these people chose to be there. they have a contract. but did they know the contract was with the devil? i know many service men who at first wanted to serve. they wanted to protect us. but now and for a long time have felt it is and was always useless. they feel that it is not a war based upon the safety of american people, but bush's greed. of course they can't say that in front of some. the fat lazy bigots watching the war on T.V. would call them traitors. when they know nothing about being in a war only watching it on the tele
