........ government into an un-American - civil liberties & freedom infringing - modus operandi?

Are we losing the ideological war against the terrorists thanks to our “civil liberties and freedom eroding” governmental policies and actions at home (e.g. The Patriot Act, Wiretappings, Racial Profiling, etc.)?

Can our democratic way of life be preserved, in this growing age of terrorism, without having to resort to such undemocratic measures?

war is so popular that most of the celebrities sing about it,so teen and kids start to think that war is so cool. by singing song about this we are not helping we are just telling that them and our self that war is good

Violence is a problem in America, no doubt.
You hear it all the time:

According to the liberal crowd and Democrats, we need tougher gun laws and stricter gun control.

According to conservatives and Republicans, we need to enforce the laws we have and pass "right to carry" laws etc.

What is the answer here? Will passing laws reduce violence? Or are we trying to put a band-aid on a much more severe social problem that needs to be dealt with in other ways?

and syria ... who is next on our agenda . the usa is doing something that i consider , a plot to controll natural resources with help of israel .... i think in my opinion egypt is next ... sudan if in confilct and israel and the states have power over this part , egypt ill not get it's share of nile water, iraq is bomberd , saudi arabia is under our thumb, so is kuwait and emriates , lebanon issue is nothing but a start to finish off syria and iran ....

what do you think , is it a plot to controll natrual resouerces and egypt is next on the agenda ?
