Maybe they flushed the information about John Hanson 'cause he wasn't a pot smoker like George Washington.

Geez, I gues they'll have to rewrite the history books. Maybe a supplemental should be published on both Pluto and the first president. Both disputes can be addressed and corrected at the same time. Also I think the supplemental should also address that George W Bush is not our current president cause he stole the election with the help of his buddies in the Supreme Court and his daddy G H W Bush. Hmmm what do you think?

Great piece of history ! Thanks for sharing. It would be naive to assume that a nation didn't have it's trials and errors the truly amazing thing is they had to courage to reach a compromise. That's the brilliance of the Constitution and more proof it's writers not only disposed tyranny but believed in tolerance and diplomacy. A lost art in this adminstration.

I do know it wasn't really Washington, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was.
Here's one for you...Who WAS the first woman {to act as} president?
(I'll give you a hint...it was one of the First Ladies!)

He was the first of seven under the Articles of Confederation. I've always wondered why these men were never recognized for their role in history? Thanks for the reminder.
