Unfortunately MP's contrary to what some think are not there to serve the people they are there to look after their own interests. They have never voted against a rise in their salary, allowances or pensions. They prosper while most struggle. The electorate should start voting against any MP who has served one term until such times MPs realise that we do have the power to remove anyone who does not truly represent our wishes. There should be no such thing as a job for life regardless nor a gravy train for career politicians.
